it was an abnormally quiet Sunday afternoon and literally every light turned Green as I hit em. there were no cars to pass, no one parking, no pedestrians crossing. It was literally like moses came down from the heavens and parted Jay st for me. it was super weird. this KOM wasn't about my nasty sprint hard vs dumb luck.

I agree, don't try to KOM Jay.

Are we dumb KOM/QOM bragging? Because there was a fleeting minute where I considered attempting to get the QOM for one of the best named segments in the 5 borough's... "Seriously you chose to take Canal cross town to get back to Brooklyn". 

Then realized I valued my life more than a QOM and settled for 8th.

Fiorenzo Magni in the 1956 Giro D’Italia. Broke his collar bone and couldn’t steer so he used an inner tube wrapped around the bars for leverage and finished the stage. 

I was pondering the ten best 'skillz' caught on camera in a grand tour, but I don't have the energy to hunt them down and GIF them.

1. Remember Cancellara's hair raising slalom back through the cars when he was in Yellow?
2. How about Cadel's full-tt tuck going airborne after hitting a speed bump in the final TT of the TDF?
3. Menchov's rainy bike swap at the Giro?
4. ...?

That slalom, according to someone who has worked with Cancellara, was just Fab having fun.  He could have gone faster.

Savoldelli's descent in the 2005 Giro that put him into pink.  There was a point where it looked like he did a two-wheel slide around a curve.  

If you can go beyond GT's...

I'd also track down Sagan jumping the curb to get away from Nibali and Uran at the 2014 Tour of Oman.

I think Oscar Freire pulled a similar move in the aughts to win E3.  

Fab at the 2012 M-SR.  The video wasn't great, but you can see that he was gapping Gerrans on every tight bend.  

And possibly the save of all saves was Sagan at Roubaix two years ago when he hopped over a crashing Cancellara.
