@Nathaniel Picard Busky this is so many flavours of awesome I'm not even sure where to start. You are my hero.

Mad skillz.
Kissena's former resident Volvo enthusiast - Chris Yacks - converted to hitch racks some years back and became a huge advocate for them. If he's in the market, he'd probably buy one off you for an obscene amount of money - he loves anything that's 1. Made of metal 2. Locally fabricated (or at least Made in USA) 3. Fits well with his Volvo-centric lifestyle (just be ready to service his 900 warranty claims, he is so hard on his gear).
So I figured I should just build my own:

In skinny-tire configuration:

Some shots of the (nearly) complete project. I still need to make the second "wheel cup", hack together a bolt with sleeves for the hitch receiver (2" hitches have 5/8" bolt holes but all hitch accessories have 1/2" bolt holes. It's stupid.), and treat and paint it but for the most part, she's complete!

Just a few of the mountain of tools I've been using. Chaos is my bread and butter it would seem.

THIS IS THE FUCK*NG HOTNESS

(just be ready to service his 900 warranty claims, he is so hard on his gear).
Legally/financially there's absolutely no way I could provide him any sort of warranty. Given I'm far from a welding expert all I've got is the "Hey Look There's A Lot Of Fucking Melted Metal On There So It Should Be Fine" guarantee, lol
This is amazing on so many levels
Sorry to say but I won't be re-upping with kissena in 2021, now that I'm westward. I just wanted to thank y'all for teaching me the ropes of cycling. When I come back to NYC for holidays, I plan on sending a 9w at least once. Also if you're ever in the Boulder area, let me know I'll show you around.

"We take cargo seriously—that’s why we added over 75 bottle bosses to the 2021 MTBGB. The fork alone sports 22 braze-ons—the only limit to what you can carry is your imagination. Utilizing standard bottle mounts, the 2021 MTBGB can carry up to 23 water bottles. That’s 506 oz of H20 to get you through even the longest days in the saddle."

That granny gear might not be low enough.

for all those bottles.
Hey does anyone on here know anything about valuing old comic books? I have a few that I unearthed here at my mom's place and I'd like to know if I can give them to the kids or if I need to list them somewhere for real money.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it out there. Drop us a line if you come to visit. My son (who is a senior in HS) applied to U of Colorado at Boulder, so maybe I'll take you up on your offer!

If he likes anything outdoors, CU is totally the school to go to, plus it's a really good school as well. I'm kicking past self for not going to school out here. When the world opens and y'all come to check it out, let me know.

I want to be this person for a week. Like there should be a travel agency/vacation booker that lets you be this person for one week. Includes all you can drink craft beer and baked kale chips.
omg why would anyone possibly need 4 sets of Lightweight Wheelsets? Even if there's only one wheel in each of those bags, thats still too much.
I just found out , its the dude that owns Rockstar games
That actually totally explains it. Do they still sponsor race teams?

This is going back 10+ years, but a friend was doing PR/comms for Rockstar at the time and bought a pretty nice road bike just to ride in one company event with this dude because that was a way to climb the corp ladder at the time.
^looks like the home of a very lonely person. No want.
Don’t worry , he has another house a few blocks away 😩  no doubt where he keeps his aero ,disc brake bikes
How miss I miss this?

Today a Belgian colleague of my wife, who studies space dust for a living, mentioned that she uses the same mental coach as Wout van Aert. One of the first things this coach did was change her diet. This is what she just sent to my wife, who was curious about the diet. Apparently it has helped with both her mental and physical energy.
As promised, here is the info on the diet from the coach. He is the coach of Wout van Aert, and some football players in Belgium, so apparently he is a much asked for coach.

Morning:
- every day 2 eggs
- use a lot of fats: fish (smoked salmon or other fatty fish)
- vegetables in the morning is a must!
- chicken, avocado, nuts, olives
- when hungry after that in the morning: nuts or olives

Lunch/Dinner:
- carbon hydrates
- quinoa, bulgur, oatmeal
- eat whatever you want with that

but… no gluten anymore, no lactose anymore, no soy ("never")

Every evening:
- a walk of maximum(!) 30 minutes before you go to sleep
- respect 12 hours of not eating anything during the night (except water or tea)
For tea: alkaline tea

Also, against inflammations, turmeric is a good thing to eat at every meal.

I don’t take it to the extreme: sometimes I eat only 1 egg, I wouldn’t say “no” to cheese-fondue and sometimes have a beer (yes, I’m Belgian). But generally, the great breakfast with lots of vegetables, smoked salmon, avocado, etc. did very good. It costs a bit of time to prepare, but is worth it. The evening walk outside is also a new and very nice habit, for the transition from working to sleeping and it does indeed facilitate better sleep.
I found these funny "inspirational posters" for runners. A lot of them could apply to cyclists.

Enjoy

These ALL apply to running, because running is the worst.
Another tech question.     this time about instagram.

I have two instagram handles related to my work.  Possibly because I use a VPN, Instagram, upon me signing in, denied me access and send me a code via email to punch in.  There's a problem.  Those email addresses forward to me and the emails Instagram has sent have never appeared.  I can email those addresses and the emails I send to myself arrive without issue.  I get other email with those handles as the 'to' address.

Reaching out to instagram has proven impossible.  I tried going to the Instagram page on FaceBook.  There, the people visiting the page have recommended going to hackers and have even recommended specific hackers to get to help.  (funny)

So, anyone have thoughts on how to get in?  I haven't tried signing in on my mobile, but I'm trying to keep those communications away from my phone.

Are those emails actual mailboxes or vanity addresses that just fwd to your actual account? Can you access those emails directly?

Also are you certain that IG has the correct emails to send codes to for MFA?
I guess they're vanity addresses, as they don't have a specific home box other than my mugwump account.

I am quite certain IG has the correct emails, as I wrote down the exact addresses and pow's and accessed IG with these addresses .
I don't know what to tell you other than  go through your phone app.
Costco has stroopwafel back in stock. Awwww yisssss.
