Craig, you can use it to buy replacement cogs for that cassette you mentioned was in need of only a few new cogs.

I bought my CAAD10 by telling them to order it from Cannondale.  Neither the model nor my size was in stock.  There was no shipping fee.  If she's already put down a deposit on the bike, they can't justify it at all.  Hogwash and poppycock!  They are swashbuckling rapscallions!  Trying to take advantage of Mother Bertucco.  Evildoers.  When the shop orders a bike that you're going to buy, it's guaranteed profit.  Purchasing a bike from them pays them for shipping.  And for their rent.

If she wants it overnight, I could potentially see the shipping fee being reasonable.  But absent of that time demand, it is wrong.

Anyone have a deal with Oakley? I know, we have a deal with Rudy Project. I've bought 3 pair and they're fine but I really need the custom colored Racing Jacket I've "curated."

Oh, Oakley...back in the way back, I was on a team with an Oakley deal...good times. I think Oakley deals nowadays are as rare as Shimano sponsorships. Basically non-existent.

In other "deals" news, I recently bought REI branded merino wool "quarter height" "hiking" socks. They are perfect for cross and cold rides where booties are overkill, but you need something a little more toasty than your normal socks. They're much warmer/thicker than standard cycling socks, but perfect for me. IMO. Best part, they go for about $10. Which is $5 cheaper than Smartwool socks.

As written about many times in the forum, HR straps will go on the fritz after some period of use. My Garmin HR strap wasn't working so well lately and I bought a Jarv replacement strap. For $10 it works fine. Though I can't attest to its long term viability, at half the price of the Polar strap which is the next cheapest it's a pretty good deal.
