Jules,

Since the cookie is an imperfect tool (granted it is a perfect food), more retailers and publishers are using non cookie tracking via registration or even just taking information like facebook logins, and device type, location and IP address patterns to make determinations about who are repeat users; deleting cookies doesn't really help for many bigger retailers.
Fascinating Dan... DHCP might funk with ups over a longer time window... Are IP's considered PII?

You know that little 'like this on Facebook' thing you see everywhere? You don't have to click on it for them to know that you saw it. It's over when load that page. I'm sure that the same goes for your google stuff too.

Another thing to keep in mind is that retailers are noticing massive growth in purchases through mobile. Huge. This may lead them to offer better deals through mobile platforms to get their foot in the door and reap some of the rewards as those platforms mature.

Me? I just buy my stuff at Ride.

Art's Cyclery is having a sale right now. $160 for a new Garmin 500.

You can get it from Garmin at the same price:

You could also call RB and see if they'll do the same deal. This must be a Garmin sanctioned sale.

What's metallic orange, white, and grey all over? My feet in 5 business days!

(To be fair, that pretty much describes them now, only replace "metallic orange" with "duct tape orange", "white" with "well... I think they were once white" and "black" with "broken")
Call me a copycat, but another pair of feet will be sporting these soon.  My bike already had orange accents, it just makes sense.  Love a deal.

I'm kind of jelly. Saw a team wearing the flouro orange Giro shoes and thought...that's a bit much. But those kicks that you ladies will be sporting are NICE.
A word of warning. My Fiziks showed up on Friday and were covered in blotchy yellow stains. Not the end of the world, but kinda rained on my orange parade. I would have kept them, but they were also about a half size too large, so I'm returning for an exchange.

Regarding sizing. I'm a 42.5 or 43 (depending on brand) and I'd read on a few bike gear forums that Fizik runs about a half size large, so I went with the 42s. But I also found the official Fizik sizing guide that put my US size (10) at a 44. So I went with the 43s. Bad idea. They do run large.
Damn, that is unfortunate.  Hopefully they're not on sale because they're all stained.  Fingers crossed mine come clean and sized right.
Hey @Erika, how did your second pair work out?  I finally just got mine and, as warned, they are too big.  My Giro pair are a 42 and just about perfect, but the Fizik 42 are too roomy (the sole looks about the same from the bottom but the fabric upper seems larger).  Wondering whether I should downsize a half or whole size for my second attempt, and/or if it's even worth it.
such a deal....someone's got to pay his lawyers.

I remember that bike well.  I saw Tomac race it at Mt. Snow around 95 that rear wheel made a racket coming down the mtn.  It was a sad day as I saw Rune Hoydahl come down the bottom of the mtn on the first lap with about a 2 minute lead on the field...he was actually smiling and laughing as he went by...with no exertion on his face.  I asked a perfect stranger next to me watching," What the hell just happened"???...his response "the euro's have better medicine".  Tomac was the man...he would win Norba races in the downhill on a Saturday and then the cross country on Sunday.  Unprecedented shit.  He was a soldier of Rome...honor him.
