Yacks those wheels would be a pain to repair. Custom straight pull spokes the shop would make a sink about ordering. Might have trouble finding them in 2 years. Neuvation uses standard (but high quality) spokes...

Edit: I know you are not a shaggy animal from the steppes but this phone doesn't

For real Dave? I have 3 sets of Neuvations (r28 sl, their new aluminum tubulars and c50 carbon tubs..with 2 cracked rims)

What is the skinny on the Dura Ace wheels? I notice the rims are not uber wide.

My outside training wheels currently are stan's alpha 340 (the old flexy ones) laced 24/28 to Alchemy hubs (wicked wide flanges that help to stiffen things up). 1280 grams with tape...

@Yacks-I have the Dura Ace 24 Tubeless/Clincher version. Not sure if there are any major differences between those and these. I've used 'em for about 5 years and they've been flawless. It is true that they'd be a pain on the ass to work on, but fortunately I haven't had to touch them. It's also true that the rims are not particularly wide. I think I remember reading somewhere that the next generation will be wider. I'm sure a bunch of tests 5 years down the road will prove that narrow rims are actually better so hold onto them for a few years and you'll be on the vanguard of technology.

ive raced the c24 on big climbing races and they are great. super light, great hubs, and they spin up super nice.

Thanks Jeff...thinking of getting these wheels...if I like them more than alpha 340/alchemy wheels I'll sell them...if I don't...then off to ebay for the shimano's. Unfortunately I had a little "touch of wheels" in the pack last week and have shot my wheel budget to hell...poor family truckster.
