Getting called out by Vino' on clean cycling.  Ouch.

What's clear is that Armstrong literally has no friends. I mean how much foe
Oh come on...

He's like a real life cartoon villain.

Not sure how you deduce this from the story. What's funny is that Myles has been saying the former for years and years.  Class act, for sure.

And you were the one who wrote Armstrong wasn't Voldemort.

#timetoreconsider?

I like how the girlfriend says "I have teenagers"....what better way to teach them to be responsible and accountable than to get in a car with someone who has been drinking, damage other peoples property and then lie to the police. Then again, shacking up with that douche speaks volumes about her integrity.
Good grief he's a cartoonishly dumb criminal not a serial rapist or a murderer.
Well he serial raped my memory of 7 tours and I'm pretty sure he murdered Pantani...
Maybe he hasn't killed anyone today but........

That was a weird artifact of me starting to type on one device and continuing on another - and I thought I'd deleted that portion.

What I was going to say is that cases like this where celebrities that otherwise have enough money to pay for really good advice and training don't get it largely because (this is my pet theory) literally nobody gives a shit what kind of trouble they're in or how much worse it's likely to get. Hence my #nofriends theory.

Eustice....never met a doper he didn't love.  Horner "guiding" the youth of american cycling...really...I hope those redacted names are made public before the season starts.
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/gallery-horners-airgas-safeway-team-presented-in-san-francisco

Eustice set the stage for the evening before introducing team director Bart Bowen, a two-time US national champion.

“This young crew, some of them as young as 18 will be guided by two of the most accomplished veterans in the history of American cycling,” Eustice said. “The team will be one of only seven teams worldwide that can boast a Grand Tour champion, a Grand Tour winner, in their ranks. Only seven teams, and this is one of them. That's quite extraordinary.”

"unparalleled pageant of international perjury, fraud & conspiracy"

The Times still loves him...

“Perjury must never be profitable,” the panel said, explaining that the case had presented “an unparalleled pageant of international perjury, fraud and conspiracy” on Armstrong’s part...

... Truth is still not part of his daily vocabulary.

When people argue "Everyone was doing it" it makes think they have no idea what Armstrong actually did.
Just to put this all in perspective, one of the biggest stars of MLB is coming back to the sport after his suspension for PEDs.  A.Rod is still slated to be paid $61MM that is remaining on his contract with the Yankees - possible the most iconic sports team in the history of all professional sports.

Yet you mention cycling to any casual news observer and they wrinkle their noses at you.
^Mic drop
The Yankee were complicit in the contract that now haunts them.  Their General Manager wanted nothing to do with A-Rod for a variety of reasons (his prior steroid admission front & center).  Hal Steinbrenner inked that deal.  This is what happens when an owners son gets involved in the negotiations.  The Yankees are a turn key franchise...you hire the right baseball people & let them make the decisions.
The Yankee organization looks more foolish than A-Rod....they gave him a contract that no other team in the league would ever match and they did not put any language in the contract about the use of PED's.
The contract  = the bread   A-Roid = the shit  and now the Yanks have to take a $61MM bite of that shit sandwich.

Oh  the Times is on it
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/09/sports/cycling/cycling-union-ignored-doping-and-protected-lance-armstrong-commission-finds.html?_r=0

"The Commission believes that doping in amateur cycling is becoming endemic. This was confirmed by amateur riders, as well as professionals, managers and anti-doping personnel who had exposure to it. It has been caused by a combination of ease of access 69 to drugs via gyms and the internet, the reduction in costs for substances, a spread of knowledge in means and methods of administration, and a lack of funding for regular testing at the amateur level. Masters races were also said to have middle-aged businessmen winning on EPO, with some of them training as hard as professional riders and putting in comparable performances. Some professional riders explained that they no longer ride in the Gran Fondos because they were so competitive due to the number of riders doping."

No shit.
