@Yacks, I think "Sheila" is a fairly benign Aussi colloquialism—blokes and sheilas.
Thanks John...mined youtube for further explanation and apparently "context" has everything to do with whether or not its to be received as benign....at 44 seconds on the vid below

its all about that address bar
Maaate, have you gone bloody troppo? Get off your fat date and win yourself a green jersey at Floyd—or a more likely story; king-hit your own cobber for one—then you can yabber on about who's stuffing the budgie smugglers. Fair dinkum.

yup. Floyd gets $1.1 mill from the the settlement and $1.65 mill for legal fees.
Crime pays, apparently. Remember all the shenanigans related in influence pedaling when this case was first brought? I guess the current (ahem) flaming dumpster fire rolling down the hill into a pile of dumpster fires while an out of tune banjo plays the russian national anthem "environment" is a good one for cutting deals.

Bummer.

If I were Floyd I'd fill my bathtub with $100's, climb in, take some selfies and post them on Lance's Instagram

Everything has already been said that needs to be said on Armstrong , but Floyd really fucks me off , this dick actually sat by and watched Fans give cash to his defense fund

As opposed to say, cancer-patient fans who gave cash to fund a private jet?
I was not actually trying to say that i Floyd bothers me more than Armstrong,
The whole world knows all about how despicable he is ,

The point i was making is that Floyd and his "Leadville line " now seems to be embraced all over the cycling media , I don't see him as a victim , He was totally part of the problem
Ah - I misunderstood. Sorry about that. I feel like Floyd bought himself some redemption because it was his story that cracked the Armstrong wall of silence.

I definitely wouldn't call him a victim.
I donated to the Floyd Fairness Fund....
when his arbitration case hit and I heard about how he shared what Greg LeMond confided in him concerning his abuse as a child I was completely disgusted...He should get the Menonite SHUN!!!

Water still wet, bears still seen crapping in the woods...

Nice one Son

Tim Wellens won Tuesday’s tough uphill kick at the Giro d’Italia (more on that below) and it hasn’t only been his legs doing the talking this week. The Lotto Fix All rider spoke out against unrepentant former dopers, including the likes of Alejandro Valverde.

Tim Wellens on Valverde:

“I'm not a fan of riders who are faster than before their doping suspensions”

“Valverde never explained what happened. That bothers me. If you want to help your sport you have to create clarity and dare to talk about doping.”https://t.co/LwRCLGUdHM

@Mark Taylor

Wellens isn't shy about criticizing (potential) dopers.

"His return has generated very different opinions," said Wellens, who came close to winning stage 2 of the Ruta del Sol on Thursday. "I wouldn't feel at all comfortable in Chris' situation and I would not have started to race until a verdict had been made public."

Froome is clean (according to a German Shepherd and a Pekinese).
Didn't this jerk serve a month suspension for refusing to submit to a drug test?

That guy has cornered the market on cantankerous tool boxes
full disclosure...I say this from the safety & comfort of my basement and would never say it to his face cuz......

yes, for a post-Tour criterium in 1982.

I guess that, to his credit, he served the time.  Froome, otoh....

ever read his ghost-written autobiography?  It seemed like he's either getting in fights or being dissuaded from taking up fists all the time.

If I remember correctly, he broke ribs in the crash before the punching.

Hinault is freaking awesome. That type of rider/attitude we will never see again. His style of racing was ferocious and he won everything from cyclocross to grand tours via monuments.
However as much as his achievements are from the 70's/80's so are his attitudes to just about everything. And so the idea of an english speaking rider equalling his (and Merckx and Anquitel) record of 5 TdF victories is just too much for him to handle
