I forgot an amazing tidbit; Carapaz was the second slowest on the flat because the climb counted for KOM and he still lost over a minute to Pog on the climb.

😂

I was looking for that time check.  Where did you find it?  Wasn't easy to come by.
Ross Tucker's podcast; his TdF wrap.
Jesus Buddha and Beelzebub!

Yep , nothing to hide
Currently practicing as a local GP. Might need to head home to get a quick prescription without the need for those hard questions, like why do you need this.

It only gets better

So: just to be clear; the responsible for Sky during it’s ten year romp has now admitted to losing blood data from three different computers?!?

Correct and today's discussions are being held behind closed doors due to a request from Team Sky and British Cycling for privacy citing patient confidentiality.

Can Knighthoods be rescinded? Asking for a friend...

Worry not.

I hear he left the laptops at a computer shop in Delaware.  the proprietor called Rudy Giuliani, who now has the hard drives.

Actually yes they can, generally only in instances whereby suitable public outrage is generated, unfortunately I doubt that this will scratch the surface of the general publics awareness in the UK. Plus there are probably many more Knights, Dames, Lords and Ladies who should be ahead in the list of people who need titles stripping...

Every time I hear "I'm as fast as I've ever been but everybody else is just faster" my ears prick up.

Didn’t Bernal say the same thing?

And Lemond
Very savvy of Zwift to tell future cheaters exactly how to avoid getting caught. Nothing but the finest minds...

https://cyclingtips.com/2020/11/zwift-bans-two-riders-from-top-races-for-falsifying-data/
Its interesting to think about Zwift as both a product and a Professional sport. Like they note in the article that these two bozos are banned from professional zwift events but can still use the online platform. In theory, they could be cheating while using the regular zwift platform (not that they would gain anything from that). I wonder if they have to allow them to use Zwift because they're paying customers and banning them out right would have legal implications?
I can't imagine what legal implications there would be from banning someone. I'm certain the TOS has language allowing people to be booted.
I can't believe Ricco is still in the news for doping. He first got busted in 2008. Years later after he was washed up he still doped. Acts like an addict. Sad.

On the plus side he now makes ice cream. Who knew

Riccardo Riccò handed lifetime doping ban

^ I hate dopers as much as the next guy but this does seem to be a mature reflection on the matter (emphasis mine):

“I was a talented little bully, an idiot who threw away money and a career. I’f I’d managed my anger and my ability with the maturity I have now, I’d have won the Tour and the Giro. But my destiny was clear: we don’t get to decide when we grow up,” Riccò was quoted as saying.

“I doped massively because it seemed like an inevitable choice if I wanted to win: the investigation and controls have proven that. But it was the doping of the desperate, they caught me when they wanted to.”

I'm such a curmudgeon.

https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/zwift-suspends-two-more-riders-for-manipulated-data/

"strict data protocols" and "sophisticated algorithms" caught a rider who inflated her power by 30%

They must be using some of that there fancy artificial intelligence and cloud computing...

Wow.

LOL that's principal skinner and steamed ham levels of obfuscation.
https://cycling.today/hirschi-released-by-dsm-because-he-was-seen-as-risk-for-the-team-and-sponsors/
Doping aside, it's the wildly unprofessional behavior of agreeing to confidentiality and then insinuating via the AD that Hirschi wasn't "transparent" about "things" that steams my collar.

Wouldn't it be a gas if Cancellara's protegĂŠ went down for doping?
Seems like a lot of innuendo...Going by the reported change in salary I would struggle to believe that this is anything other than a good old bit of sour grapes from a team who invested in a young talent who then demands a huge uplift in his wage once he scratches the surface of what he can/could go on to do...(I fully understand their frustration!)

Except, its a team that has a history of letting riders leave mid contractÂ
