Folks familiar with venue, are they bike friendly? is there a place for me to park my commuter inside a fence as opposed to locking it outside?
Yep, he has room for some bikes inside but not a ton.

If you can lock up do.

If not, feel free to bring it in.
thanks, jim. looking like i'll not be riding tomorrow anyway--having some pain. going to take a couple rest days.  at least that's the plan now...
So what's a nearby spot we can get some good grub from?  I enjoy a good drink with my mates but I enjoy eating with my mates just a smidge more.

Edit: Oh duh, they're right off 4th on President.  Easy peasy taco time at Oaxaca for me!

Is the food at String rope  "finger food" or will there be more
@PatrickG I'm assuming this is a BYOMeal situation tonight since Jim said earlier that they don't serve food?  Unless the club is bringing something in to munch on?

There will be plenty of food provided tonight, come hungry.
Ooooooooooooh.  Save some for the late comers please.
Thanks all for a great party. Good times, good beer!
Felt the "strength in the rope" this morning
It was great to be there, thanks for organizing!
Yacks enjoyed....the beer, the camaraderie and his walking pneumonia....well 2 out of those 3

You forgot that pint thinner you drank as well...
Hey everyone, had a blast last Thursday!  Ima miss you guys, Kissena means a lot to me, but as I said, I'll be back!!

For those interested in my travels to Houston, let me sum it up this way.  Upon letting telling Jeff that I had bought a car w/ 250k milers on it and planned to drive it to Houston the next day, he replied "yeah, what could go wrong?" ... well, outside of Asheville, NC the fuel pump decided to crap itself out.  It wasn't moving.  Trapped in Appalachia (let your imagination flow).

Ultimately towed the car to Atlanta, left it at a shop to be fixed and flew to Houston.  Flew back to Atlanta yesterday and drove the car (issue free!!) 800 miles back to Houston.

I'm certain there's a moral to this story and while I can't think of it right now, Whitey's words echoed loudly for a few days.
Just always make sure the radio costs more than the car...

Like Patrick said in his email yesterday:

I'll admit that you can you can pay for Sunday's End of Year Party at the door, but it would help us if you RSVP and pay Tonight... or tomorrow. Just let us know so we can order enough food...
See you all at the party!
That was fun!  And I didn't call in sick with a hangover this year, so there's that.

It was great to see teammates I haven't seen in a long, long time, including Harry who popped out of the woodwork, and to see Victor's photos projected onto the wall of someone who looked like me doing things that looked very difficult where I have no recollection of it at all.  But racing looks neat so maybe I'll try it next year.

Thanks to the Board for setting this up, for hot pizza and cold drinks.  And thanks to Kasia and Ilya and RedBeard for some great new socks.  Winning stuff always puts me in a good mood.

Congrats to those who won prizes, Team awards, and some very cool swag for volunteering at SuperCross.

Happy Holidays, all!

Club - just a note about payment for the party.
While PayPal is preferable, if you don't have an account we can take payment in cash at the door. Just find one of this year's board members.
But please message one of us prior to the party and let us know you are coming so we can plan the food correctly.
Thanks.
@jim_nelson can I bring a CX bike full of mud and snow? The weather is looking wicked for Rainey Park. 😜

Bobby - yes you can!
All - reminder to RSVP and get your tickets for the holiday party. Follow the link above or in the email you should have received (check your junk mail folder if you didn't). See you Sunday.

Also, if you plan on coming but want to pay at the door please let me know so we know how much food to order.
Plus, Myles is giving away some swag to the Supercross volunteers. Come get it
Anybody bringing their significant other?
