Year End Party

I'm not just due to schedule clash, but bring the whole family if you like Bobby.
Is there a head count for how many people have signed up and are coming?

At the moment we are at about 20. Hoping a few more sign up between now and then and that a few people show up at the door.
Good news.  Nice numbers.  Thanks.

For any new teammates, please do sign up and come on by.  It's quite a different experience when everyone's in their regular city slickers and not yelling at you because of the wind and speed.  There will be water, beer, and presumably pizza.  Stick a hand out and introduce yourself.  There aren't many of us, on the Team, racing, cyclists in general in this city, so knowing as many of each other as possible and socializing is the best way to form and keep this community.  And to grow it.

We work in all kinds of specialized areas, and some teammates will only discuss pro CX with you, others only road, and some track.  A few will discuss parts and tires, and I'm currently sewing a patch on my favorite jeans using the Blanket Stitch, a stitch I've used on jersey pockets as well, so I'll probably discuss that.

So please do come by.  Don't feel obligated, but do stop in.  This is much of a gathering to meet you as it is to celebrate the team and kick this year in the rear end, especially if you've been watching the markets, for crying out loud.  Yeah, sure, I can talk about that, too, but catch me earlier in the evening, as I've been on the trainer and I'm dehydrated, so that beer, well, you know.
Just signed up the wife and I.
Just signed up!
Great seeing a nice turnout at tonight's End of year party. Lots of food, drink, stories real and tall, and some Supercross swag were enjoyed by all.

Wishing everyone a great holiday season.

A quick announcement. We conducted a raffle drawing for two prizes for Supercross Cup volunteers:

Dave Yang won A Toko bag with some cool swag in it. (The bag has shoulder straps and a built in cooler or something. Its pretty awesome)

J.P. Partland won a Clif Tote Bag with some swag in it.

Congratulations to both of them.
Thanks to all that set up the party, especially Jim. I love seeing teammates socially.

I couldn't make the party again this year.  Family party again took precedence.

Sorry I missed it, though I'm not sure what many of you look like without helmets on.

And considering my luck, I might not be able to go next year.  Though I'll try regardless.

See you on the road.  That is the never-ending party, at least to me.

It was really cool hanging with all of you without bright orange helmets. My wife seems to think Kissena is a classy group of dudes. So hopefully she'll complain less when I go on long group rides ;) .
So sorry I missed it, hope to see everyone on the road in 2019.
I was there. People witnessed that I am still alive !
It was great to meet up with familiar faces and it has inspired me to actually ride my bike in 2019 (what a novel idea for a member of a cycling club).
Thanks to all who organized.

I didn't volunteer for SuperCross, which is a huge race for the team, I know.  Feeling kind of awkward about that, but can I still sign up for the team party?
@Bruce van-Schalkwyk In case there is any uncertainty, the year end party is open to all club members and their significant others. Because it is the first time that those involved in Supercross will see each other we will raffle off a prize and give away some swag associated with the race. No need to feel awkward about Supercross, it's understood that not everyone was able to pitch in.

The board will also be presenting the club champion jerseys to those who won those competitions at Prospect park on October. There will also be jerseys for new members who have not received them yet. Most of all, this is an opportunity to hang out with friends

@Bruce van-Schalkwyk to clarify further, it would be awkward if you didn't come.
@Bruce van-Schalkwyk I’ll buy you a drink if you come
AFAIC Bruce should have a standing invitation to KCC year end parties until the Brooklyn Bridge falls down.

Just one man's opinion but Jeez Bruce have you been crashing without a helmet? Get your ass to the year end party mate!
*I'll* buy him a drink if he goes. Of course someone is gonna have to snowshoe out here to collect your five bucks... ;)
Looking forward to it! Coming from Manhattan, so those in BK have no excuse! @RichardCornetta I'll split an uber with you =)
I may get on my trainer for a couple of hours the night before so I'm nice and dehydrated, making me a pretty cheap date.
Good to know there will be jerseys available for new members.
And I love seeing the raffles for volunteers:
Watching other people win stuff is just like racing.
About 35 people signed up so far - going to be a great evening!
Can people still sign up?
36 now
Can people still sign up?
Yes. I believe you can also pay at the door day off, but much like a bicycle race, it will help everyone if you pre-reg (it also ensures we get the right amount of PIZZA)
Will there be a call-up outside the front door based on when people signed up?

once inside. to get to the Pizza.
