Year End Party

You say that like its a bad thing...
^will find out
Hey Folks,

This the time of year when the Club's Mail Chimp account starts smoking from overuse because we've got so many awesome - and important - things going.

Probably the biggest two are the

YEAR END PARTY - so please sign up if you haven't already - the more early signups we get, the better we'll be able to estimate food. If everyone waits till the last minute it's going to be a steady diet of ice cream and hard liquor (yeah, Yaks, I know - "what's different about that?"). Also - this is where we VOTE for the 2015 board of directors (more details on that coming soon)

2015 Waiver & Dues - you need to be a 2015 member to take advantage of these AWESOME SPONSORSHIPS, and to order next year's "soopahfine" kit.

(apologies in advance for the maniacal cross posting)
There are few things I enjoy more in life than planning a good party, and I am so excited to be helping with Kissena's year-end shindig on Thursday, December 11, from 6 pm - 10 pm

I saw some Kissenas this weekend at SuperCross who were under the impression we are throwing an ice cream social in December. Nein! That is only a fraction of the truth. We are throwing what is sure to be a kick-arse party that happens to take place in an ice cream factory close to a sizeable transportation hub (Atlantic/Pacific Aves).

I'd like to clarify what the party will include:

Free-flowing wine (good stuff--not some juice that fell off a Trader Joe's truck)
Free-flowing beer (we all have fairly high standards when it comes to beer, so that category will also fall under "the good stuff")
Food--real food (most likely from Tacos el Bronco, but I'm still negotiating)
And the best ice cream in Brooklyn

About the price: Now, I may have expensive habits (keeping a stable of expensive bicycles, racing out of town, dining out all the time, etc.), but considering the great space we will have at Ample Hills Gowanus, plus all food, and all drink, $40 is a deal.

Two more reason to get tickets (here): Awards and voting!

Are you guys excited yet? I am!

Kate you forgot the *mic drop* what an epic invitation. I surrender.

OMG Tacos el Bronco
Grrrr. Opening of Cooper Hewitt Design Museum same night, how late will this go do we think?
6-10pm
If you are buying 2 tickets (or I guess any multiple #) - do you change the dollar amount and checkout ?
Or just checkout twice at $40 a pop?

I'm sorry I'm going to miss this. Will be flying back from Vegas at this time.

boo
Likewise, I'll have a work conflict. Looks like a great time though.
Who said anything about a work conflict? He's flying back from Vegas.
It actually is a work thing in this case, albeit a relatively fun one.
Same night as my work holiday party.
Uh oh.  My work holiday party is also that night.  I face a difficult choice...

Room for a little one..?
Room for a little one..?
Yes!
Party update!!!

Brooklyn culinary institution and red sauce authority L&B Spumoni Gardens will be catering Thursday's shindig. Prepare yourselves for Baked Ziti, Eggplant Parmigiana, and MOAR! Fear not, I ordered plenty of (biodegradable, sustainable) napkins.

Also, 2015 Kissena beer sponsor SixPoint will be on-hand! Sweet action indeed.

Baked ziti, fine wine, delicious brews, ice cream, and Kissena pals? Sounds like a good time. If you haven't bought your tickets, now is the time! HERE >>

I CAN NOT WAIT TO EAT ALL OF THE LASAGNAS TONIGHT.
OM NOM
I'll be late...save some for me.  Jules...you can indulge.  I need something to draft behind...last year riding behind you was like drafting Flat Stanley.

KHAN!!!!

Just when the pieces start falling my way, the MTA throws a wrench in the suddenly coalescing plan.  The editrix was waylaid on her way home, Fire Department activity at the West 4th station, which meant my hall pass was shanghaied!

She got home a few minutes ago,and with extended travel time to brooklyn, I might well be late to closing the place down.

Will drown my sorrows in Ben and Jerry's Red Velvet ice cream with sprinkles and U-Bet.

Ice cream it up without me.
Got there late...but just getting home now...that about sums it
Pictures or it didn't happen.
Awesome to see so many Kissenas out from under their helmets! Apparently the "churn bike" was a real hit with the kids.

Huge thanks to Kayt for organizing, wrangling and hooking us up with good vittles!

Please remember to VOTE if you haven't already. (some folks have had theirs go into spam folders)  If you're like me and trying to find it in your overflowing inbox, the subject of the email will read:

"Vote Now! -- Kissena 2015 Board of Directors Election"
