@mugwump From what I understand / last I heard, the orange dye doesn't hold on the shakedry fabric. These  jackets all *do* have reflective panels/lettering. 

Fwiw it have the black/red ones too - Redbeard colors!

After a quick conversation with Ilya and Kasia at Redbeard, here are some sponsorship related notes:

- Helmets: Orange is coming.

We are waiting to hear back from Kask about orange Protones for 2020. If available, great, we'll go that route. If no orange Protones, we'll order Kask Orange Utopias. This keeps us on brand as many of us got Kask Protones last season. If for some reason there are no Protone or enough Utopias, we'll consider another brand, likely Abus.

The club will subsidize some of the price of the helmet. We'll decide how much on the next board meeting next week.

- Group Orders:

With the exception of Specialized bicycles or frames, and the helmets above, redbeard prefers no group orders for smaller items (tires, tubes, bars, wheels, etc, etc...) Simply email hi@redbeardbikes.com with your needs, and they will hook you up.

- Specialized

We are hoping to put together an order for the spring, which we would send to Specialized by February 15. If you were thinking of a new bike for 2020, let redbeard know. Kissena members receive a 25% discount on MSRP.

I can 100% recommend the Crux Elite for anyone thinking of either getting their first, or getting a new cyclocross rig.

The idea for the sponsorship relationship, is for the team to ride the bikes and gear that Redbeard sells. As such, we are sticking with Kask as helmet sponsor for 2020.

We've asked Kask a few times to bring back the orange Protone and we are hopeful they will do so for 2021. In the meantime, you can pick up an orange Utopia, or a Protone in a different color (white and navy are options).

It helps if y'all tag Kask in your social media pics and/or reach out to them to express that you want this helmet color back!!!

I am happy to order singles of other helmets (assuming I have a relationship with that brand) for folks who want them (but you won't match the team)!!

Is anyone interested in a Kickr, Core, or SNAP? I can always do a one-off order, but  we happen to be putting in a Wahoo order this week and so I thought I'd check. Saves me some admin work to submit in one go

For the Helmet wizards our there...

* Is utopia less comfortable/heavier/hotter?
* Overall, what is the difference between utopia and protone?
* Would you recommend the protone and become a Kissena #pumkinhead or should I just wait and see if they bring back orange for Protone.

I was thinking that I already have a regular helmet, so maybe buying the orange aero one is not that bad an idea. Means that my helmet is still usable for hot long climbs... 

hey, so like Kasia described, we will ordering Kask Utopias, I will create a spreadsheet in the next couple of days, where you can all order your helmet.

For the sake of looking as a team, I do want to encourage you that if you are getting a helmet, you get this one. Reminder that the club will pay for a portion of the helmet (so you'll get a reduced price) Will announce how much once I post the spreadsheet.

Hey @Kevin Man, following up on Diego's questions. Do you notice any difference in airflow/cooling between the Utopia and Protone?
