@Kasia Nikhamina I will try to get there in the next few weeks, kinda swamped with racing three track days a week these days, but there should be a bit of a let up in the track schedule very soon.
Is there an opportunity for another orange Kask helmet order?
@Jeff Condon the board can vote to hold another Kask helmet order assuming there is sufficient interest. Since the club will only subsidize one helmet per member per year, only members who didn't participate in the first order will get the lowest price (however they're still free to buy at the normal discounted rate without the subsidy).
I'm also interested since my current helmet has saved me from severe injury from last Saturday's crash
@Jeff Condon and @Thierry Bonnaire

KASK Protone helmet order is now open!  Please fill out the FORM to add your order.  Window closes July 2nd. Payment must be done via PayPal to  membership@kissenacycling.com - total price with subsidy is $135

Feel free to reach ou if you have any other questions 914-224-8920

I think I missed that crash report. Hope it's nothing serious.

Thank you Jules for asking. Nothing serious but it could have been very bad. I've been quiet about it because it involves our behavior as a team when cruising on crowded streets. I informed some board members about the incident and I'm sure something good will come out of it.
This is something the board is going to take up at our next meeting, scheduled for mid July.

That is indeed a glass-is-half-full attitude to any crash. Very generous of you. Then again, any crash that needs a new helmet...
Got my helmet order in just under the wire last night. The Protune looks slick.

Looking for some Kissena reviews. I’m between the Wahoo Kickr Power and the Wahoo Kickr Core- what are people’s likes/dislikes between the two, recommendations, suggestions?
either one will be fine, get the best one you can afford, the top of line Kickr is awesome and includes a 11 speed shimano cassette. the core is also awesome, doesn't include cassette, harder to make even if your floors are old school NYC slanted. Else, it is all fire.

I've had both. Sold the big one from a previous generation to get the Core when it came out because it is a bit quieter and my set up is directly below the bedroom. Otherwise, I find no difference between the two. I think the big one can handle a few more watts at the top but hasn't been a concern for me. Both are super stable, work great with Zwift, etc... Theoretically the big one folds up so you can store it easier but my trainer setup doesn't move and both of them are damn heavy.
I haven't used the reg Kickr but I've got the Core and really like it. I don't feel like I'm missing out on any features. It is a bit of a pain to move around but if you're keeping it in the room you train in, its not so bad.
Is this the future??? Hovering over a real climb ... say it ain't so!

@Matt Budofsky I have the core and think it’s great

Just wanted to share a few bike deals... feel free to share with friends/fam.

Anyone looking for a super commuter?

Also looking for a home for 2019 Allez Sprint Disc size 49 (it's black!) and 2019 Tarmac Men SL6 Expert Disc size 54. Please get in touch with Kasia@redbeardbikes.com if interested. Both bikes are in the shop built up and can be test ridden / seen in person.

Lastly, Greg of RBR is looking to sell a Weis

Hammer steel track frame with carbon fork
for $1700 - frame is a beautiful yellow, fork is unpainted - please email Greg Streiff <gregstreiff@gmail.com> if you're interested. He may be willing to sell for less, but I will leave it to you! (The frame is in the shop if you wanna see it first.)

Thanks!
Kasia
@ErikPfiffner In the sheet I couldn't find any specifics on the discount cost of their computers. Specifically the BOLT.

Also what is our discount on Specialized frames ?
@ian ellis
Generally 20% off all.  However, give Redbeard a ring or send an email - they will be able to provide more accurate pricing. (718) 858-2453 redbeard@redbeardbikes.com
@ErikPfiffner Thank You
Hi all! I've been getting questions about Specialized bike order windows. Specialized asked us to aggregate team orders and submit on a monthly basis. So far we've been submitting orders as we get them, usually only one or two bikes at a time.

If anyone here would like to order a Specialized bike, please get in touch with us at the shop! The shop will be closed 1-2 weeks in November, and part of January, so let's get your build on the schedule!

Also: winter apparel (non-Kissena, mostly classic New York black) is in the shop. Wonderful, unimpeachable Gore-Tex rain jackets and warm bibtights. Not to mention gloves and hats for every temperature. Come see us!
@Kasia Nikhamina I'm more interested in highly impeachable orange...

Trust the black.
I will say that the Gore-Tex shake dry rain jackets are awesome. And they look pretty stylish - I wore mine to work today!
