I took a break, kids to a birthday party, lunch, dinner etc and got back on to finish my workout; +60 watts, perhaps more. What the ever-loving F!?!

The whole POINT of an SRM is that it's great engineering that isn't wrong.

what makes you think it's the SRM?

What else might it be? I'd love to think I can do 340 watts at 140 bpm but sadly that just ain't true.

User error. CO changed the slope on the device and I hadn't recalibrated my Garmin.

Jules error is our gain. Sort of. Teachable moment and that stuff.

This is one of the things with power meters. You should zero the offset frequently. More frequently for crank-based meters, like every ride, after the temperature of the crank has adjusted to its environment. For hub-based, I'd do it before every test at the very least.

I used to zero my Power Tap every ride. Not sure why I abandoned it with the crank-based power. Fingers crossed this means I'm stronger than I thought... :P

The biggest takeaway is that they have incorporated their patented "Benzie Box" technology....when you park the bike, you can take the meter with you.

New bike has aero seatpost and the clamp seems a bit underpowered for my liking. Any recco's re putting carbon grit stuff in there?

My Orbea has an aero carbon post and carbon paste is a must. I use SAC-2 from Park Tool, smooth it on like peanut butter and it does its job. I change it out each year when I do my annual cleaning.

Fwiw caad10frameset comes with a little packet of carbon paste with recommendation to apply a thin layer on any carbon to alloy surface.

Hey. I'm still a bit sore and my muscles are tight, but no more crutches, and today I was able to walk without the cane. I've put about 100+ miles on the indoor trainer in the last couple of weeks and plan to add resistance in about 10 days, going to the gym in a couple of weeks. Put me in the game, Coach, I'm ready!

Thank goodness it's not spring yet or I'd be bustin' just sitting on the couch. I'm going to ride, man, like you wouldn't believe, ride until I collapse, until my kit tan is permanent, I'm going to ride to Boston, I'm going to do Alpine repeats and smile when I throw up over my top tube. I'm going to kick it at Floyd. I'm getting hungry for it. I'm getting hungry.

New bike? do tell John...do tell
