you caught me. all i did was loosen the cable and lubricate under it...didn't bother to clean them out. i tell myself it's because i wanted to buy new cables and housings. i currently have a despicable blend of different brands and colors of cables and housings. so despicable, in fact, that it only ever bothers me.dstokes said:Brendan,Brendan Rigby said:my cables are so dead. i have to shift by plucking the downtube cable after each shift.
Clean and lube the little routing attachment that bolts on under your bottom bracket. Sometimes that gets gunked up and inhibits sliding of the cable.
Of course.Ryan J said:So, Ride Brooklyn recabled my Cannondale and Will told me that my crankset (a Quarq) was not tightened enough in my bottom bracket. Which I didn't really understand actually, but whatever...So now I go to pull off my Quarq to put it on my other bike. I pulled off the non-drivside crank arm, as usual, after which, normally, I'd give the axl a little tap and the thing slides right out.But now it won't budge. I've already tried the rubber mallet with as much force as I'm comfortable banging on my bottom bracket.I've swapped that crank dozens of times, so I can't figure out what the heck is going on. Thoughts?Note that I have GXP to bb30 adapters
This may solve our L&C conundrum. I'll just watch the race from Konditori and hold the table for everyone.twoyacks said:Live streaming of park races???? OH MY
