@ Neilx - you should ride! If you don't want to race hard I bet there are a bunch of other folks who'd be happy to do a more casual paced group. I know this might not fit with the "smash mouth played on repeat" culture WDC is looking to create but hey....

I'm 80% in. If I don't get sick in the next 2.5 weeks (unlikely)....

Do we line up to pick teams like in high school? Can I be "team leader" so I don't get picked last? I'm having dodgeball flashbacks....

@jeff owens: something like that, only Al and I pick the teams, not you guys.

We will do that approx. 10 minutes before starting. each team will get a colored arm-band (jeff's team will be pink) and you will have a few minutes to strategerize with your new teammates/sack'o'potatoes.

You can be "team leader" but it is a largely meaningless position . . . basically just means the snipers will target you first.

Can we just play dodgeball? I was REALLY good at dodgeball. I particularly relished it when the big guys thought they had me nailed and I caught their best ball at some the back line of the court.

this sounds really fun and i'd love to make it but unfortunately i'm taking a standardized exam that's part of the bar on that exact day. sucks. i'd rather be biking.
