Saw he was leaving but didn't realize it was to run Assos. Good thing he

increased membership
did a lot to improve women's racing
improved race promoter tools
improved USAC's software
moved the needle on anti doping
increased the number and quality of road/CX/mtn bike races
improved rider safety

while he was running USAC, or I'd feel like his tenure was a lot of hot wind.

totally get your point, leave it to USAC to disappoint, that said, Bouchard-Hall was a better and more honest lead than Steve Johnson ever was

I've come around on these tires. Years ago, when I was first introduced to Conti', the tires mounted easily and rode well, but seemed to have fragile sidewalls. That turned me off them.

Since then, I've become a fan of their tires pretty much across the board.

The 4000s II is reasonably light, seems to grip well, lasts much longer than those early tires, and possess incredibly low rolling resistance. I think it's a more durable tire than the Vittoria Open Corsa CX tire both in terms of casing and tread, and has lower rolling resistance (last I checked). Mounts easy, too.

Your issues are?

Conti's check all the boxes on paper...but I just found the Vitttoria's with that 320 thread count to be so much more "supple"...like a cloth diaper vs pampers...(I'll save you all the apparently ENDLESS pics and gif's of adults in diapers on the internet)

Have been struggling to find a tubeless 28mm tire that spins for 1,000+ miles without getting a puncture.

Hoping the Conti tubeless are as durable as the previous (non-tubeless) version. Will def give them a try when I've got an extra $200 lying around.
