In reading a little further, the lenders seem to be willing to work with them by forbearing from enforcing any rights based on their reputation and brand recognition. This helps give them a bit of breathing room to find new financing, raise more capital, figure out a buy out from someone, etc. There's also the chance they enter into bankruptcy in order to restructure their debt and come out a meaner and leaner fighting machine.

Either way, I don't think Wahoo as a brand will be disappearing.

Our favorite local mountain bike trails at Cunningham got a write up by IMBA highlighting the diversity in types of riders who use the trails

Super cool. Sweet to learn about Peak Bicycle Pro Shop too, always wondered if there was a friendly bike shop close by.

Catching up to this thread... Peak is the local "good" shop around this area. The owner (Jerry) is a master wheel builder and mechanic and his son (I think) is a good mechanic too. They were my go to shop during the pandemic and I still use them for stuff I can't service myself.

ALSO, the pizza/sicilian  place right next door is legend. If we ever wrap up a Cunningham session around lunch, we should 100% go there for post ride calories.

Can't this weekend, but how about next Saturday? If the weather isn't crap they usually have a few small tables and chairs out front.
Rapha and EF again score big in the "look good charts"  for the Giro , the bikes look awesome as well

Lol. My first thought when I saw that kit was that it looks like they just took the scraps they had laying around.  Looks good though.

You know you are literally right? i.e. they grabbed a bunch of the swats of fabric that were left behind from other production lines and made these. Recycling et al.
This thread my Matteo Jorgensen is interesting. Shows how growth takes time and determination but also makes me wonder about Movistar’s supports for rider development. (Having said that, they’ve had a great early season)

Why do truck drivers in NYC get to kill people with impunity? Adam was supposed to be riding the Five Boro Bike Tour this weekend until this ****** driving a flatbed took his life.

Be careful out there fellas.
"The truck as the driver made an abrupt right turn onto Lexington Avenue without signaling."

One of the absolute worst things about NYC is how perfectly legal it is to kill cyclists with your car or truck.
That and strangling people to death on the subway

I can't speak for Duluth, but it seems that it works that way in much of the country.  Sadly.

It's a lot less common, and drivers do get prosecuted. I agree though, it's not specific to NYC, just uh... frequent.

I had a colleague who's fiance was killed in Queens by a kid who - no joke - pled affluenza. Murdered by a trust fund kid doing 80 in a 30 zone. He walked, she died after a couple of weeks in ICU.

This took many years, so speculation is high that a purchase is possible.

Owner bought back the company from the banks, which seems to be the best solution for them. Good read on it from DCRainmaker: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2023/05/wahoo-fitness-founder-buys-company-back-from-banks.html
I'm not sure if this was a big deal in the US , but this bike defines my childhood,

Raleigh Chopper

How good is that Mark? It's making me want to watch reruns of The Goodies.
Did you see Raleigh's also reissuing the original Ti-Team? My first racing bike was the Raleigh Criterium, such a solid bike.
Ecky Thump John!
I had the Raleigh Medale , which essentially the same bike , but growing up the Nottingham factory was still producing bikes ,and every kid had the TI , so i had to be different :p
While I remember that Raleigh, it was the Schwinn "Krates" that held greater appeal

a more detailed look: https://bikehistory.org/bikes/krates/

I didn't realize until now that by the time they were on my radar, they had already been discontinued.   The rise of BMX had the same frame repurposed for BMX as the Sting Ray.

I had a Schwinn Maroon, and I swapped the banana seat for a BMX saddle, the ape hanger bars for reinforced BMX bars, and removed the fenders.

I guess this bike problem I have started a long time ago.
Talk about a harpoon to the feels! Ouch!
I wonder if they are going to make the banana seats with the 70's sparkle colorways...
Not really an article, but idk where else to post this.  Looks pretty cool.

@DavidVibert Might be a good post for social?
Do we need a thread for NYC Cycle Drama?

This thread is like wut wut??

Oh my... "unless you're pedaling my bike for me your not providing a service" lol!
Well, since Battenkill tire flame wars are extinct, I suppose this is the best you've got :)

Who expects someone to buy kit for a group ride?!
Hahaha omg that entire conversation, it just doesn’t stop. What a dumpster fire
Wait... That's the design they're complaining about?!  It's black text on a white jersey for crying out loud!
