Fashion/clothing industry seems to run on very low margins even at the high end so not quite surprising. Also according to this article Rapha has a GBP 1M net positive EBITDA *IF* they don't count one time "exceptional" costs this year. Even if EBITDA figures are more corp finance math for investors (along with things like "net cash flow"), within context of earnings reports Rapha's status isn't the worst I've seen.

The company noted that, subtracting the cost of “an exceptional item,” its EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization) was one million pounds, compared to a loss of 3 million pounds the year before. The exceptional items included legal and professional fees, employee stock share charges, and — most costly — a warehouse transition. The company closed two regional warehouses during the period and consolidated in a new UK warehouse location.

This is a fun write up by a dude who found himself way over his head on a local hammer ride in Texas with Nielson Powless. The write up is great and in the end the author manages to complete the ride. Powless comes off as a great (albeit strong as a beast) guy. Worth a read
