I thought he just looked pissed. I felt bad for him, it wasn't his fault the banner was too low. Bus driver was super late (they'd already lowered the finishing structure) and supposed to stop and wait for authorization. Doh!

Yeah, that sucked. So I had to go to atdhe.eu, which also has tons of obnoxious popups, but it was worth it.

Generally speaking, cyclingfans.com has a bunch of links in different languages both for road races and 'cross races. They usually have the popups, which I have learned how to close without actually going to the site (x in the corner after allowing a countdown of 20-30 sec). But for yesterday's Eurosport, there wasn't even any popups and the quality was excellent. Didn't watch today. Was on a death march with Ryan, Ragot, Yoshi and Hubbs. But we got to be in the Gay Pride Day parade, for like 2 sec.

I paid for the map my ride nbc coverage. It's pretty nice lets me watch it any time anywhere. I try to support things like this when they are available hoping that more people will start offering cycling subscriptions.

And cyclingnews.com has excellent Android app (presumably same for iThingy) with real time tracking. No more guessing about who is in the break or where they stand in the GC or where they are on the course profile. If you got an earlier version, you have to update.

That dog running out into the middle of the road just before the field was about to come flying through reminded me of the L&C race two weeks ago. How hard is it to put your friggin dog on a leash when you know there's a giant pack of bikes about to come through? It's a lose lose situation otherwise: Your dog dies and there will be 100 completely pissed off, hyped up on adrenaline, men wanting to kick your ass.

Corsica's always been a big tourist destination for frenchies, I doubt that the TdF will have such a mass effect of bringing hoards of foreign tourists anyhow. Let's face it, while it is out of this world beautiful the corsicans are not the friendliest. If you thought French ppl were rude to foreigners, you're in for a treat. Also, it doesn't quite have some of the art that Italian cities have or the glamour that the south of France offers.
