Was this before or after I dropped the f-bomb on Aaron? (Apologies again for that mate!)

Where's the 'awwww' button?
It could be that this picture makes me look like I dwarf both 1. my bike, and 2. Kieran. Really cool to see the same picture from the two different angles.
Another one.

Apparently it's something called perspective...?

You wouldn't want to meet these dudes in a dark alley. What a bunch of thugs!
Stalker in the background..
That stalker dude was cool. I exchanged a few words with him, and I got the feeling he used to race.
Oh yeah... I can't remember his name. He is a member of Kieran's Carribian Supporters Club. The Guyanese older gentlemen who is on Kissena(the one Ragot was talking to in the parking lot) is the leader.
Hmmm, can't remember that guy's name either. Nice guy though - the one who trains in the Sky bibs, right? Mike - the Guyanese former Kissena dude is hilarious. He calls me "Muscles", very funny.
Thanks Jules. Yeah, the visa thing has been very frustrating. If this was another sport, the club could probably get me a coaching or an athlete's visa, haha! But don't worry, like Stalin, my benevolent gaze will be keeping watch over the club's track fortunes even from afar...Plus, as I say, I'll be back!

I leave on October 14 :(

Kieran, what an awesome report! One hundredth of a second? Fantastic - watching the video I now know what people have been talking about when they worry about your bike exploding... I'm bummed to hear about the Visa shenanigans - doesn't the INS understand how critical you are to our budding track programme? Bastards. How soon do you have to leave? It's going to take a very large number of skinny armed road cyclist to hoist you in the air...

Loved being at the track yesterday and wish I could have stayed for the rest of it.  @Kieran, maybe celebratory drinks and grub on Saturday night, after the Kissena Championships?  Might be a good way to wrap up the summer!
Alas I already have plans on Sat night...Let's sort another date out though!

Is there something planned for following the Champs in the day (given they finish at 8am...would love to come watch but I'm planning on zzzzzzzz)
Nice...
So that was after the crash... Mattie rode great all day. Really got screwed out of a gold in the scratch race.

What's the story?
If not this

I'm good with Saturday following the club champs race.  I suppose best to start up a social thread.  The weekend after that 9/28-29 works for me as well.
I have work on Saturdays during the day.
Sunday? (not this, but the 29th?)
I've been slowly catching up on this thread, the awesome report, and with all the Facebook photos and videos from Sunday, so I'm pretty late to the congratulations party-- nevertheless, I didn't want it to go unsaid...

Congratulations to everyone who raced, and to Kieran's victory! Y'all are my heroes. Sounds like it was a hell of day out in the bowl, and that the club stole the show.

@Kieran, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you will be sorely missed. At least you're bookending this New York chapter on a high note, so hopefully you won't stay away too long.

Bravo again gentlemen!

Thanks Kayt! I'm gonna miss being here - I really enjoyed mentoring you guys this year and it feels like I'm having to leave with the job not even half complete! I will also weirdly miss that bumpy asphalt mess in Flushing. Just hope I can make it back soon! Maybe in the meantime you can all help lobby to either get the track re-surfaced or get that long-dreamed of indoor one built...

Sunday was definitely a fun day. I think I am finally just about recovered from it! Shame you couldn't make it - next year :) (I'm serious - the women's field really needs some new competition - PRR is having it all too easy...)
Pink Rhino has seen their last season of uncontested wins... (I hope!)
Results!

Ah, what a difference 0.01 of a second makes...Things really turned for me on the outcome of that.

Mattie missed gold in the 4s kilo by .045 of a sec. Great first kilo ride from Jeff too - 1.22.

Aaron - this time you definitely did hugely improve your kilo time - 1.25 rather than the 1.28 you did at the omnium in August! Nice. Your goal next season should be to get under 1.20.
One one hundredth of a second.

The light from your finish would not even have made it back to Sunny England...

Hey y'all, how's it going? Greetings from wet England!

Finally laid my hands on a couple of photos from a certain track meet....

Kieran
And yes, my eyes really are glowing a demonic red in that first one...
aaron really loves andy's shoes.
States are among us.

Cat 4s are going to light it up.

JP you riding this?

Ill be out there.

I'm riding this.  Signed up just now.

Are you?
Yes.
I don't think I can get out of work, bah! Why is reg looking so frickin light?
Just registered. For the 123.
Al and Keith are in Spain.
Karl Nelson is no longer a NY resident... Aside from that I don't know.

I thought Wagner moved to PA, too.
