Gathering parts to build up this beauty. I’ve wanted a Mr. Pink for a long time. Trying to decide what color headset to install. I’m thinking blue since the anodized color will be similar to the metallic blue on the headtube. Or maybe red. Decisions, decisions...

@mugwump Whoa... I didn’t notice that they based this paint scheme on the Motorola Mercx! I was wondering what it was about since it was so different than other Mr. Pinks I’d seen.

There are some rules.

1. Absolutely no "cork" tape.  It's mostly foam and just sucks up dirt.

Benotto used to work great.  But it's gone.  Fizik white, so long as it's the smooth Microtex stays pretty clean and, when dirty, cleans up well.

2. White saddles look more pro when when there's a little wear to them.

"suede" covered saddles thankfully disappeared.  Mid-range white saddles seem to use a pretty durable synthetic cover that stays pretty clean.

Le Sigh.

It's far simpler than that.  Fizik Microtex White Smooth tape.  I ride gloveless most of the warm months and it stays pretty clean.  The "trick" is the tape material.  But, to keep it as pristine as possible, get it wet, first round is spray-on degreaser, chase with warm soapy water, chase with cold water.  

I think I officially have a problem. I've spent more than an hour researching just the right style/color/type of bottle cage to put on the Mr. Pink. I mean, it's got to be "just right"............right?

I don't know, man.  I mean, like, there are times when a simple accessory makes all the difference.

Another option for keeping your white bar tape clean is:
a) reach a deal with your LBS to buy 100 rolls of tape at cost
b) re-tape your bars with a fresh roll each week

Picked this pretty little thing up last week but haven’t had a chance to do any proper riding since. Got out there today and it’s rides better then I could have imagined. Shout out to Redbeard for taking care of me from start to finish!
