I’m finally getting around to building up the Mr. Pink. Special thanks to Redbeard Bikes and @Thierry Bonnaire for help getting a few parts I was missing. All I have to do is run cables and tune it up.

Install a seatpost in there stat, so you can take clamp pressure off the seat tube.

Those new Hakka framesets are sweet! I picked up this used 'lügi yesterday.

 The bike is hanging not clamped by the seat tube, but I agree. Internal routing with hydro brakes and no cable stops (housing through the frame) kept me busy today. 

Also tubeless is officially harder to get on the. Tubulars. HFS

Specs when it rolls. Today was brake bleed fiesta, and I discovered that the bb is somehow 1/10th mm too small? How is that possible?

you mean the shell or the cups?  Is it too narrow or too wide?

There are spacers if the shell is too narrow.  

freaking hate today’s bottom brackets — can you send it back? this is unfortunate, but a new good BB should fix it

oof.  that's surprising, I think.  That sleeve is something that can easily be swapped.  I'm hoping it was a machining mistake at Chris King.  Do they both measure the same diameter?

regardless, this comment just to vent and share your frustration, no one appears to like pressed BBs, bike makers seems to struggle to make the shells, users struggle to press and fit them, your example shows that even the most reputable name in components struggles to make the things, not to mention the crazy town amount of crank axle standards.

Well Chris King is supposed to be the king of precision. I picked T47 because it was supposed to be a solution - threaded BB with all the advantages of wide spindle.

fwiw one mechanic thought it might be “dub” which is a MTN bike standard that is a hair shy of 30mm but Ck only just started making them by special order only.

ck has promised to send me a new one so we’ll see what comes of that...

yes, the DUB thing, as well as the OSBB specilized thing are the very definition of UGH. WTF.

btw, Quarq uses DUB almost exclusively now, hope they go to hell.
