The New Bike Thread

I'll have a submission for y'all once the Supercross dust (snow?) settles.

For those that have seen it, I'm open to suggestions.

The headtube/badge is the sickest I've seen in quite some time...
Did someone say ti ?  Is that a reverse sloping top tube?
So, I got this...

Because I really needed a TT bike.

Now I can't blame the bike for my sucking in TT's.

NAME?

Ryan, this probably belongs in the "training" thread, but while I was living with a USA Cycling Coach in Arizona (where they do a LOT of TTs), he made the point that if you wanted to get good at TTs you need to spend at least once a week doing rides/workouts on your TT bike and/or TT set-up.
that is a really pritte bike.
1. Never seen the rear derailleur mounted right behind the front derailleur like that. Super aero!
2. Who the hell is Smitty?
2. Who the hell is Smitty?
And shouldn't it have been spelled "Smitte"?

I'm gonna have Blyer fit me on it, I think, and then once the weather warms up a tad that is the plan.

(in coach Ragot I trust)
Its name is Smitty, obviously.
2014 Caad10 baby! In time for my bday. I may go with the heart of darkness theme, but it would have to be Kurtz.

@dstokes Beautiful bike! And Kurtz seems quiet appropriate. At least in my weekend group ride experience, you tend to be the guy we run into up river.
I LOVE THAT BIKE.

You treat it right, David. You treat that bike right. If I see pink bar tape anywhere near that beautiful baby I'll call 311 on you.
aluminum...it's the new ti
BLAK and pink go great together. Real men wear pink.

Awesome! I ordered the sme frame. Did you get it through Ride Brooklyn? Can I expect a very merry Christmas??
RB, yes. Al set me up and Will did the trimming.
Don't worry Jeff. No pink.
Speaking of pink bar tape... I saw a Kissena headed north on 5th avenue yesterday; old skool jacket, black giant frame and PINK BARTAPE.  Looked to be about 52" or 54" frame, officer.
The person you saw yesterday was Ryan J.
Impossible.  Everybody knows he now spends every waking moment on his new "Tri" bike and has mounted twin water bottle cages on the seat.
 2013 F29 1

New Year's Day eBay score....paid exactly 1/2 off from MSRP. I put the bid in on New Year's Eve before going out to celebrate thinking there was no way I'd win.

For now at least I will call it El Izquierdito

Rick,
Awesome find. Nothing like an ebay auction that ends at a time when most people are not paying attention.

Yeah Dan. Good deals can be had around  holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are good times to find steals...I've had luck on the 4th of July too.
This one ended at 1245 PM....not so super early in the day. But I guess the rest of the eBaying, prospective, 29er buyers were still in bed with hangovers.
Can't we get that with our Cannondale deal?
Juuust sayin

Sort of, not quite. The Cannondale discount is "sliding scale" and no one gets 50% MSRP.
I'm still a race or two shy of upgrading to Cat 4 at which point I'd only be eligible for a 20% break. I paid $1400 for a $2800 bike and I didn't have to pay tax either. Pretty much a no brainer e. Now I'll be racing Cannondales both on the road and in mtb races. That's probably something they as our sponsor would smile upon.

The guy who I bought it from is a Saris employee in Madison. So maybe it can be thought of as sort of a continuation of our defunct Powertap deal
Less time to ride, more time to shop.

Sweet!  Name?
