Who else uses some of their kit outside of riding bicycle biekz? I put on the champsys leg warmers under my jeans to dig out my car from the snow and it was most excellent.

I just tried to post a visualization of the Rapha skin(less) suit after a crash, but the "attach a file" link appears to be broken. I'm getting a Java error message in a variety of browsers.

Yang, I've been using cycling gear outside of riding for years--never thought of using leg warmers though. Clearly the poverty of my imagination.  I run in my cycling gear, which back in the day of wool jerseys really stood out, and have been using tights in place of long underwear bottoms for outdoor activities since I first got a hold of Roubaix fabric.  

Do you find your brightly-colored shoes become dull after a season of riding in rain and dust? Do you worry that your "hi viz" reputation will suffer as your equipment slowly becomes "regular vis"? Have no fear! A thorough scrub with a brush and laundry soap in your bathroom sink will restore the former sheen. I don't have before and after pics but the difference was huge with my orange shoes. Note: my shoes aren't the glossy kind; if yours are, be wary of using a brush that might leave scratches on the glossy parts.

Good grief. The new Trek kits are soooooooo boring. I'm fine with some of the black trend to combat the hi-vis, but crap, those just seem so dull. Maybe they'll look better in full kit when riding (I've only seen the jersey)... It's like a shroud of shame.

At least the Sky/Rapha kit has touches of color. I blame the CSC connections (for the shame).

Pinstripes ... not my favorite on a cycling kit (or a baseball uni for that matter). As a Brooklynite, my loyalties remain with plaids or a houndstooth.
