Hey @Ingrid, just responded to your email but this is a 6 am at GAP ride, taking off at 6:05 on the dot.

A reminder for everyone that if you miss the 6:05 clip-in time, you can always wait until the group comes back around at the top of the hill, though of course it's better to be in for the first (usually warm-up) lap.

Hi Ingrid! 6am at GAP.
PS: Thanks in advance, @Jules, for the light and spray support! Looking forward to seeing you mañana.
GREAT ride this morning, ladies. I think I speak for all of us when I say that Jeff can really teach a rolling pace line, and there was some real progress made in the flow of the group over those two laps. Thanks also to Jules who was instrumental in helping keep the group together, and for all the great tips on smooth transitions.

And now that you know where the "official" Kissena training sprint lines are, you'll be ready for the group training rides on Tuesdays (which regularly include a sprint workout), and of course on your own. A typical sprint session is 3 laps so 15 sprints total, though you get extra street cred for doing more.

Thanks again to @JeffWhite for mentoring this morning's ride, and looking forward to seeing you all out on the road again soon.
thanks so much @jules and @jeffwhite for the righteous pace line instruction. we'll see you both next week right?!!??
Yes, thanks again @jeffwhite & @jules ! I know that I have lots to learn (especially with regard to riding in a group) so these Friday AM training rides have been incredibly helpful. We appreciate it!
BONUS COLUMBUS DAY RIDE!  Sorry, I'm not shouting, just really excited.

Eric Ragot has generously offered to mentor a session on Monday at 7 am. He can't make the Friday rides, so it's a now or never kinda deal. Eric is a fountain of knowledge and one of the team's most experience wheels, so I would highly recommend waking up early on Columbus Day, which for some silly reason is a holiday. If you don't have the day off and want to move the ride to 6 pm, voice that here. It's going to be an awesome session and we should have a good group for him to work with.

I can't do evening. I think I miscommunicated with Katy. 7am fun it shall be. We'll work on pacelining and how to use terrain while doing so.

Also my brain is available to be picked.

See you then...
Thank you so much @eragot! I'm 99% in for Monday morning 7am, but might have a Dr's appointment.

wow totally in for a mon morning ride :)) 7am
Great to have so many takers for tomorrow's ride with Eric! Trust me, you won't regret it.

I'd love to join you, but I'm working in glorious Finger Lakes wine country all week (and luckily getting some rides in each morning).

I'm going to hopefully be there. I'm assuming laps or is this a long ride?
sorry i missed the ride this morning...i decided late last night that i needed to take the day off. hope you guys had a nice ride though!
Eric, thank you so much for lending us your time this morning, and coaching such a (as some have described it) good looking paceline. I really appreciate your generosity, and hope you thoroughly enjoy the rest of your day off!

For those who were unable to make this morning's ride, Eric helped Gwynna, Daniella, and me with controlling speed and maintaining a smooth, tight paceline in relationship to terrain. Great stuff!
Sorry dudes! Eric, thanks so much for your hearty suggestions. Decided to muffin crawl instead. Enjoy the day and looking forward to riding soon.

Well said Erica! Eric is indeed a fab teacher  : )
It was a fun morning after a fun ride the day before with me as the only female rider (and new to boot). Eric was on that ride too and made sure I was not alone on climbs - thank you!-
Needless to say, my muscles were quite tired . It was great learning and practicing today how to handle the days when I have muscle fatigue on group rides.

I have muscle fatigue just about every day. Especially when I'm with the big Ragot.
super bummed i missed this :(

@Gwynna it's only Tuesday; you have to pace your worrying... but seriously, what is there to worry about?

You're going to race your bike...in circles... with grass, cheering and cowbells.  You've already won.

My view is always that the training is the hard part; showing up for the race is just the celebration for having done all that training - the hunk of chocolate on top of the metaphorical ice cream.

This is both true (for me) and helps put any given race in perspective.

Word. The best race I ever raced, in terms of both my performance and the experience, was one I decided I'd already "won" simply because I'd trained properly and showed up. I actually showed up twice... I drove 2 hours out of town a Saturday for a Sunday race, realized my mistake, drove back to Brooklyn, and had to do my openers again. The next day I was so relaxed, I annoyed the hell out of the field with my chatting. And felt awesome. So train hard, then get out there and have fun!
