Well, Champion Systems does have a "casual" clothing line, including a polo shirt. However, it's made of one of their wonder fabrics. Not old fashioned cotton. I'm not sure how I feel about that to be honest.
Maybe we could consider making another proof depending on interest? I'm not sure what the minimum threshold for that sort of thing would be...that's Jules' department.
A few years ago, I remember seeing a polo shirt at an Eddie Bauer or someplace like that, made of a tech fabric and thinking that was a pretty good idea...

I am definitely in for a kissena polo or two, tech fabric or cotton, doesn't matter. I've bought a few techy-fabricy polos from Uniqlo recently (they make clothes that fit skinny asian guys) and they're perfect for summer sweating.
And just for longevity's sake, may I suggest a dark blue? White and light colors look great out of the package, but after a few bbqs they get pretttttty grody what with the saucy fingers and such.

Hi Guys,
Sorry that I haven't been active on the forum (or the bike). Anyway, Back in March, I placed a clothing order for the 50th Anniversary kit. I received my confirmation, but I haven't received anything or heard anything further. I tried to inquire on the Champ sys website, but it won't let me log in. Is there any info on the status of the order? Was I supposed to pick this up?

@Tito, if no one offered yet, you have 2 choices:
A) I have 2 jerseys, both stained, but both cleaned daily immediately after riding. You can have one before your big move. I can make do without it until the next kit order.
I can put in an extra jersey order for you the next time around and mail it to you when it comes in.

Since we're all on the phone here, as it were, what's everyone doing to clean these things? I love the design, but white is a pain.
Grease/oil - taken care of. WD40 and a little bit of patience, and lots of detergent. I tell everyone the smell is my bike.
Rust from pins holding race number while racing in the rain - taken care of. WD40, then a bar of Ivory soap and Shout and rubbing it all around until my fingers are pruned. Wisk laundry detergent to make it smell like spring again. Rust spots are mostly gone. (I think it's actually pretty cool. Racing in the rain. Rule #5 bro).
Gu stains in my back pocket. Shout, and elbow grease in the sink. The stuff is gross in my mouth, gross on my jersey when I'm done and it sits back there for a couple of hours, oozing it's grossness. I always carry 2.
Yellow stains. What? Where did these come from? HELP! Yellow stains down the front of my jersey? Did I park it under a tree last night? What is this stuff? Is it sap? Is it body love? I don't even know what that means, but I'm out of options here. How do you clean it?

Use citrus degreaser if you don't like the smell of WD40. It is water soluble and does at least as good of a job.

Citrus works really well as does the Sistine fighting power of oxy clean .
Under the subject is casual apparel I can have a former employer do a mock
up for us. I think a polo shirt would look super sharp.

i am discovering which areas of my body take the most wind by the where the dirt stains accumulate. shoulders.
sometimes dish soap works too. doesn't have some of the softeners that laundry detergent does; designed to get rid of oils. a good old soak before washing.
