Paul is easy to find on facebook
Anyone going to the make-up race this Sunday? I'll be there in the 5s
I plan to be there in the Masters.
I'll be there...haven't decided Masters or go mess with team Cobra Kai in the III's....u know exactly who I'm talkin bout

I should be there

back in the city just in time for the last pp race. i'll be there.
I'm in for the Masters as well.

three musketeers.  Like the read of that.
I hit the Masters with Eloy and JP.  JP told me any move with Gary Steinberg from Bauer and Steven Dioslaski should be covered...I saw theses two hooligans trying to get a cheecky move going and quickly bridged to it...Deno's was along for the ride and repeatedly claimed to be protecting the Polka Dot jersey...now it would be the height of hypocrisy for me to have a problem with this as when I was in the IV's it was common practice to protect the green or dots...so we were quickly reabsorbed. A few laps later I spotted JP hanging out with Keith at the KOM...looked to be a squishy tire. That left Eloy and I to surf the field and take our chances...Now everybody knows Yacks can't read a race...strategically I make as much sense as monkey churning a gatling gun

Once JP exited I couldn't figure anything out.  A break went and I saw it and was in position to bridge but  figured it would get caught and I should save something for the sprint...bad decision making as I can't win these field sprints.  A late break is exactly what I should be looking for...Break not caught..still Yacks has been gliding up the hill lately and I set up for the sprint....
Chris Loener started banging up against me trying to take the wheel I was sitting on...now last year I would have obliged as I couldn't stick over the top anyway....This year though...the dude does not abide !!!!

so some words were exchanged...bars were banged and things started to look like this..

but Yack's holds the wheel and has an ok sprint to finish 19th...(the break had 7) still among the sprint group I'm tickling the top 10 and starting to become a minor threat. It's taken me 3 full seasons to adapt to the speed and distance of the 1/2/3 & Masters field...but it finally feels normal....
Vic got some nice "cheesecake" shots...

I knew this race would be pretty negative.

Juan Pineda of Brands was leading the series.  He had something like eight teammates to support him.  There were only two guys who could challenge--Gary Steinberg who had two teammates and Steve Dioslaki who had none.  Dioslaki was also up for trying to take the KoM jersey on the last day.  That leader, JP Rorech of Deno's had teammates, but not too bright.  They should have been letting groups go so that Rorech didn't have to sprint against Dioslaki, as he was bound to lose a head-to-head in a two-up sprint.  (Which he did, not even close)

The only hope for a break was if it were a big move, which included Pineda (and getting ahead of Pineda into a group with his rivals might spur him to attack across on his own), or a late move, which included none of the top three.

I was trying to chill for either possibility.  Unfortunately, my rear tire found a tack nail, and decided to crush the sharp side.  I was out before the fun really began.

It was a bummer to flat out of what might be the last prospect race of the season.  Especially as I actually slept restfully for the first time before a prospect race this season.  None of those middle of the night wake-ups sure I had missed my alarm.  The early hours aren't my thing.

Yack is getting stronger.  Lets find him some more races before the season ends.

BTW, I heard some of our peoples in the other fields rode well.  Reports?
Slim pickings for road races for the rest of the year (outside of GMSR of course).
in Cat 5 awesome 3rd place with @EduardSpektor, Sebastian and myself made it to the top 10 also! Race with no major moves or attacks, smooth til last lap with the usual stretch on the last climb. Sprint arrive for the first half of the group very close, @WillKalbacker got caught up a little further back in a few seconds gap. Positive end of the series for the team I would say!
I'm waiting for the floyd bennet sunday series.....it's a thing that happens
@GiacomoVischi I in fact finished with the same time as the rest of you guys, thank you very much.

I sat up about 50m from the line in the middle of the sprint pack and literally everyone else passed me in that 50m. No gap though!
Oh I did not realized that, sorry for the false information
A race report without a Gif is simply unacceptable
When a break is really close with one to go...it's easy to say "they'll get caught..I'm not working"...I was just thinking with 7 guys fanned across the road...if we had caught them in the sprint it would have been ugly

This series is back on Saturday....The 2/3 category looks like fun
Charlie is looking for registration volunteers and a Marshall coordinator of Saturday's castelli race. Same drill as with the L&C.

You could also use hypnosis on the Cobra Kai dojo, so crazy it might just work

Racing Masters Saturday. Form/Fitness is even lower than one year ago, so don't expect too much ;)
I'm registered for CAT 5
Charlie only has one person who volunteered to help with reg. Please contact him if you are willing to help with reg.
I volunteered for registration.
The old man race has 93 pre-reg.
we've got Eloy, Thierry, Niall, and me.

Jordan is bringing 10.  Lynn Murray is their fast man.
Montclair is bringing 7, with Juan Pineda probably their protected rider
Deno's is brining 7, I assume JP Rorech their man.
Brands is bringing 5, with I assume Chris Loehner their man.
Metra is bringing 2, with Dioslaki set to do his thing.
Axis has three.  I assume Danny Inoa is their strongest.
Weather Channel 2.  Kevin Molloy is their man.
Rapha 4.  Matt Seaton will probably do his thing.

There will be big efforts for the intermediate prizes.  not sure how much the field wants to ride other than not to lose.

Yacks is a day of....I'm riding the 2/3 or masters....didn't pre-reg....cuz I don't want to forfeit $42.50 to Charlie if I don't make it to the start.

thank you
all those racing got the same email, but still this rule rules:

1. PRIZE MONEY ELIGIBILITY POLICY. Riders who have served a ban for performance enhancing drugs are ineligible for prize money.  The rider’s result will remain as well as his overall standings in the Overall, KOM and Sprint competitions but no prize money will be awarded for an individual race or overall placing.
