We need a "YUM" button on the forum.
What a tease.  I tried to click in an effort to 'learn more'.  No dice.

In other news, after some searching, I found Mr Stauffer's personal website:

teh internetz hao dewz diz twerx???
I'm sorry to bring the 2014 Men's 4C race up, but I finally uploaded my unedited Battenkill footage, which begins at a random point and omits random segments of the race.  Very helpful, I know.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7MZ_KPwS1w

Oh man....if only you had the whole thing start to finish so I could sit down and watch it! Please step your game up next year.
is it too early to start discussing tire choice ?

When it's 3am, the baby is screaming, maria wants to sleep, and you can't stand and are afraid to lie down, you're going to open up your laptop and watch b'kill with the sound off, dreaming of a day you can frivolously spend money on a race that no one, not even you, really cares about.  You needn't announce when it happens.  You needn't thank Brendan, nor curse him for not stepping his game up.  You can start the tire choice discussion for Ian.

3rd.  Bad tweet.
Except, he got relegated after Eneas Fryre protested the finishing sprint. Here's what Adam tweeted about it:

"Can you imagine field sprinting if moving left to try and come around the person in front of you would get you relegated? Unfathomable."

"Only cowards protest something the officials wouldn't have called on their own (according to them), right under their nose."

"If I cross your front wheel 200 meters to go that's you being too far up my ass. If I chop you, you'll know, because you'll hit the fence."
Weak whine.  And illogical.

If the officials wouldn't of called it on their own, why did they agree with the protest?  They wouldn't have. Adam certainly isn't above questionable contact and riding, and maybe this time he went over the line and got caught doing so.

Adam has a much bigger twitter following, but Eneas is much tougher than Adam.  Which is part of why Adam got relegated.  others would be afraid to disagree with Adam.

Here's some video of the action. Hard to tell if anything illegal is going on, but it's something...

The organized preview ride of the new course is this Saturday. I have it on good authority that there will NOT be a spring preview ride. So if you are thinking of batten kill next year then you may want to consider riding this weekend. Details on bikereg.

Oh, for chrisssssakes. A Battenkill post, already?
To avoid the confusion of this year's cat 4 race(s), I heard field limits will be set at 680 riders.
Enough preamble. Lets start talking about tires.

I already signed up for the season pass race entry, the super deluxe coaching plan with full course go-pro videos, compu trainer course package, and pre-race lypo suction.

The rest of you better just save your money.
Calling all Cat 3's. Sounds like Mike's going to be in shape for Battenkill. If we make a plan now I bet we could win it.

Sorry brah, I left you cat 3s behind years ago....
I rode the preview course last fall.  It was nice to go with a group of other riders with neutral car support.  If there's no spring preview, I'd like to get a group together and do a day of ride.
I'll put my size 25 grand prix 4000s tires on about two weeks before the race, so they're worn down a bit, but still new.  Yep, tires.

He'd still get dropped in the 3 race if there's a hill
My recommendation is to ride 20mm tires on the preview ride. That way, it will be a necessity to find the good lines.  So, when you get to race day, and have the 25mm tires on, you'll be amazed at how well you float through the sectors that once gave you trouble.

It's a joke.

that written, if Jersey Mike and the other II's want to make b'kill a priority, I could be convinced to do it again.  I've been holding off because doing the II race solo has gotten a bit boring.
Thinking about doing this race this coming season. who else will be doing the mens Cat 4 race on Saturday?
@Nelson I probably will, just for revenge purposes after this year's clusterfuuuuuudge.  If Jeff White and Niall come too we'll have some strong representation.

I will be there also but in the old man race.

I love that you guys are thinking about this already, because #Revenge

In all seriousness @Nelson, there is always a strong (sometimes very) contingent of Kissena 4's there. Just budget enough time for a few dozen hours of blogging about tire choice :)

Represent!
