@Bruce-Sorry you guys waited for me.  Glad I ran into you and Kayt at Piermont.  As for Team Lipstick, at one point a few years ago, their cycling coach was none other than former Kissena President Stacy Jensen (who is by the way the new manager of the Kenda women's pro team) They are triathlon team, with a funny name.

On a totally unrelated note, if anybody is heading down South Mountain a/k/a Ll' Tor, it was in mid repave today and looks as though it could treacherously slick in light rain.  Use caution.

Tomorrow is Bike MS, with 30, 50 and 100 mile routes, starting at 7:30 at 46th Street and going up 9w to Rockland lake.  They've limited the ride to 5k, but I have no idea how many actually signed up or will be doing the longer routes.  The route doesn't take them on River Road, from what I can see, or along 501 or any of the hills near Piermont.  I believe they may actually be riding on the West Side Highway.

It typically takes river road then up alpine approach. I saw signs as well by the ranger station up the hill. They then go right on 9w for a little bit then turn around.

I'll be at BB at 8, GWB at 9. Might ride up a hill or two.

Great to ride with members old and new today. I started off a little apprehensive about riding tight 2-up with everyone, but those fears proved unfounded. Everyone rode remarkably well.

JP and I ended up being the only ones to split off from the group to go a bit longer. Owens looked like he was gonna come, but when he realized Joe wasn't with us he got skurrt and turned back.

JP and I did a whole bunch of tempo through the dank and damp forgotten roads of New York, joining and parting with various hammerheads present and past. I eventually succumbed to wheel sucking on the homestretch of 9W.

Great seeing everyone this morning. Mark Taylor and I broke off early, I had family stuff to attend to. He and I made our way back to GWB via Churchill and on the way home we hopped a fence from the west side bike path and rode down on the west side highway from about 86th st to the Intrepid. The highway was closed due to the MS ride. Likely the only time I'll ever get to do that.

I had to take the jawbone from Joe's cold, prickly hands.  It comes in some weird stinky cheesecloth that was wet.  Whatever it's MINE. 

Nice to meet everyone and roll around.  Erika is a beast!  She's in my secret big-ring climbing sub-team cool kids club, unlike all you guys.

Best part was when we were watching last 15k of Lombardia at Mattie's, the feed FROZE with less than 500 meters to go.  In our faces.  But it was in the bag so whatevs.

@Erika, Haha, yea I was able to get them just fine. Nobody seemed to dare touch them on that coffee table. Although I had a pretty lonely solo ride back to Brooklyn.

So great to be out today with the group especially with all these new faces. You guys will be seeing lots more of me as I'm trying to string together some good miles these next few months and get my legs back. Slow and steady for me for now. I think Fall is the best for that. Soooo, I drank a little more than expected last night and slept a little later than intended this morning, which resulted in a lone-wolf style solo ride today out to the GWB and back...the ride was fine, albeit lonely (although i did have hordes of bike ms riders to keep me company, i.e. alert and a little concerned for my safety). BUT on my way up the Hudson greenway around 10AM what did i see? 3 words...

Speaking of the MS riders, I kid you not, I saw TWO seperate riders literally topple over to the ground from exhaustion on the way back on 9W. One of them literally almost fell under my wheel if I had not decided to take it easy around these folks. Kinda felt bad, half of them were just walking their bikes up anything resembling a hill.
