It's true. Aside from the couple of sprints and KOMs we did, it reminded me of the rides I did all last winter with Eric and Whitey, where it was just hard tempo the whole time for 4-5 hours. There were no long anaerobic slogs up Alpine or Bradley, no sprints, and there was hardly any drafting. It was just all of us putting steady pressure on the legs for hours and hours.mugwump said:Who says you need racing to dig deep. A better 2014 starts through the wormhole.
The average power comes out to be higher than you'd get sitting in at, say, Battenkill. I continue to think that winter work was a big part of why I had a much better season than ever. I will be doing it again this offseason.
