BeIN seem to be showing 15 mins of the race, unless I am not reading their schedule correctly.
Also I see that they have hired Richard Keys (who hosted the very first TV shows showing the TdF in the UK) and Andy Gray for their sports talk show. Both of them were dismissed from Sky Sports after Andy Gray made sexist comments about female sports officials thinking his microphone was off and then later in the year making lewd remarks to his female co-host.
Not unsurprisingly they are huge fans of Peter Sagan, who unfortunately may win tomorrow since the world champ is riding Paris Nice instead of defending his title in Siena.

FYI BeIN is currently streaming the Strade Bianche live, but it does not work on Safari (Mac or iPad) but DOES work fine on Chrome (both platforms). 

I'm hoping to be out on 9W tomorrow but the roads around me look more icy and snowy than most any other time this winter. sigh

Wish I could! I've got all three kids to myself today till 6pm. Tomorrow morning though, I'm game to try this "bi-cycle" thing again. Sounds like fun.

For anyone: PP GAP 10:30am. Gotta ride outside sometime.

I'm hosting a meet Kissena ride tomorrow in Prospect Park, along with a Redbeard ride. Meet up at 8am at the GAP.

Come join us for a few laps around the Park. Meet potential members, and enjoy Ilya's and Kasia's company.

This is a club event so ideally, the more Kissenas the better.

I'll be riding tomorrow, the longer the better, but the standard Kissena affair, low road to Sparkill, left around Clausland, over Mountainview and on to Rockland Lake before coming home.  I'd write "usual time, usual place," but the GWB appears to still be closed.

So, with that in mind, I propose the following.  Leave BB at the usual time (8am).  We'll assume the GWB is open, so the usual time there 9am metope, 9:10am leave.  But, if the GWB is still closed, we'll meet up at the NY side 5min earlier 8:55am, and leave 5min earlier 9:05am.  

GWB still closed at 1:30pm today. Not sure what they are waiting for. Todd and I did some laps of CP. Our club CX champ, despite not riding much this month or so, is still quite strong.

Roads are clear mostly, a little sloppy here and there. With rain and 50 degrees forecasted for the week, I expect the already mostly clear Grant's Tomb course to be clear for next weekend.

Will go out with the regular Sunday ride over the hopefully open GWB tomorrow.

this afternoon I rode the west side bike path and there's ice that will defeat your road bike.  if you're determined, you can get over it, but you'll have to dismount or tripod.  barely got over it on the cross bike.  in fact, fell once on the cross bike (that's what I get for trying to ride over it at speed).  also somehow managed to double-flat on the cross bike.  glass bottle frozen into the ice?  took the subway home.

ice is begins at those basketball courts under the overpass with patches to fairway.  ~90th street is where something upped and bit my tires.

probably not enough ice to warrant a detour around the entire west side bike path, but enough to keep things interesting!

i had one less than epic fall (standard slide out and topple over, nothing interesting, no injuries) followed by an epic save.  unexpected bump while not paying attention, hands came off the handlebars, grabbed back on, swerved all over, somehow didn't fall despite the ice, slowed to a stop to realize both my tires were slashed.  maybe the gods figured one wipeout was enough.

this was all on a cross bike with 33mm tires at 20 psi, so your road bikes are in trouble!

Guess I'm riding on the streets then.

Sorry yacks, didnt see your comment until just now. I did a solo ride to figure out a route to and fromfrom the QBB and did a couple of CP laps. Next time!

Nice ride gents. Going to be a fun year of racing with you! Everyone is riding well and on the right track.

Everyone on that ride should feel good about what they did out there. This was not a dawdling ride. I want everyone who rode today to recognize that fact. We covered roughly 50 miles in under 3 hours (my apt is 15 minutes away from the GWB meet-up spot, and I've got 52.18 in 3:12). That included 3480 feet of climbing.

And that climbing?

Well, we kept it pretty civil for most of the climbs (although you know how group ride climbs, even under strict orders to keep it "orderly" get), with permission to crush it on the climbs out of Rockland Lake and State Line, both on 9W. And they were ouchy!

Anyway, great ride, it's going to be a great season. Keep on it everyone!

All those miles, all those gargantuan potholes ... and no flats. I call that solid bike handling skills all around (and a bit of luck).
