I'm a medium: 54-58cm TT and I can make it work.  Will bring own pedals and am staying in Manhattan.  In for Sunday JP? I have one other taker so far.
I should be there Sunday.  Still need a bike?
Looks like I'll be late.  All dressed and ready to go, but as the only adult in the house, I've got to wait.
have fun...had my 25 year high school reunion last night...typing with the big toe on my right foot...as it's currently my only functioning appendage.......

That was me. Were you driving or riding?

Thanks to Jill for organizing/leading the meet Kissena ride. Big group of folks including a few who I think weren't interested in joining KCC, but wanted to do some group riding. Chilly day. First really "cold" day of the season. Useful reminder about having to put some thought into your clothing choices. I usually under/overdress on the first cold day, forgetting what I need to be comfortable.

Most of the group stopped at Piermont Bike for coffee and conversation. I kept rolling and basically did the Rockland Lake ride in reverse. Finally felt warm in the last hour of the ride. Better late than never!

Racing the next couple of weekends, but looking forward to more group rides this coming winter.
Propz to Jill for running this! Thank you.
Thanks to JP, Marc, Julie, Niall, Will, Bruce and Scott for bearing the cold yesterday!  We had a good turnout with some strong riders who seemed interested in being part of the team.  Everyone stuck together pretty well during the ride and we got some positive feedback.
I agree, the riders were strong and some definitely had a desire to get into racing next year.  One was at Sunken Meadow this weekend (Max) and another had done a couple of races this year already, Prospect Park and a couple of FBF I think (Riley).  Looking forward to some company in the Cat 5, progressing to Cat 4 next year.
anyone still in the city ? I may be able to go today
Trying to get out Sunday , any takers ?
Trying to get out Sunday , any takers ?
think so!
count me in
Saturday maybe?
I'm aiming for both days as of now
Went out this morning, saw Sean, good to see you, and got stopped by the police for running a red along Riverside Drive.  Two cops in an undercover hybrid, no ticket.  Saw a lot of police out this morning.  I stopped at red lights on the ride back and it was painful.
A woman riding back said to me she saw police handing out tickets to riders.
Keep an eye out this weekend.  Could have been coincidence, but I think they've stepped up patrols, for obvious reasons.
I'm in for tomorrow @Mark Taylor . usual time at GWB?
9am GWB via bike path.

Undercover cops giving out tickets, what douches.
I think I'll be playing my f-cops hip hop mix tomm. Yo.
Undercover as what?

Nice  day on the road.

At the GWB, there was Austin, Will, Malcolmson, and possible new member Max.  Bruce was coming back from his early spin and neither Mark T, nor Sean were seen.

At my urging, we went inland to Knickerbocker and then headed north to Sparkill.  The group headed to Piermont, while I continued on to New City.

Think it was my longest ride in several weeks.  Glad to be back.
Meet Kissena Ride, Saturday, Dec 19th.  Please come!

I'm doing an early morning ride on Saturday 12th.

Leaving 7am GWB, <2 hours, >2000ft climbing  "Hills of Alpine", easy pace.
9am GWB via bike path.

I've been off the bike for the past month due to getting sick for a couple weeks & working too much but I managed to get my 2nd ticket of the year for once again coming to almost a complete stop before rolling through a red light with no cars nearby on my commute to work (in the pouring rain). I can roll through one light with cops waving me through then a coupe lights later, I roll through and a cop gives me a ticket. It's a joke. If the cops are trying to raise money, I'd rather just donate, at least that way I could write it off. The worst part is having to listen to their bullshit about keeping bikers safe. A couple months ago I ended up in the ER because of their blatant negligence while riding home from work on the Brooklyn bridge... anyway hope to see you all out on the road again soon

I don't know if it's related to the "raising money" point, but I totally got my rental car towed from a legal spot yesterday. $185 for the tow, $60 for the ticket, $5 for using a credit card.
I want to tempt the fates!

I'll be at the GWB tomorrow at nine.  Have to figure out timing, but my hope is to get out by the apple orchard.

If the rain is not present, I'll be there.  Not sure I'll have the stamina to do apple orchard (but will certainly have my game face on for it) as I'll be coming from BK, but at least to Piermont.

BK Bridge at 8am for any of those interested coming from BK.
GWB 9am I'm in
