Where'dyago? Any epic tales?

I was there at 9.  Nobody in a Kissena jersey.

so I went to the low road, then west a bit more.  I went north, worked my way over to Clausland, Old Mountain, Rockland Lake, and headed back.

Ran into (ex-Kissena) Henoch Getz.  He was scouting new climbs. So I punished him up the hills, waited, rode together, repeated.  Then we hammered along 9W for the finale.
Bit early for me today, but will be there @ 9am tomorrow. Anyone?
A big group Jeff C, Jeff W, Jill, Eloy, Jim, Thierry, Mark T,  and I left BB at 6:30 and rolled up a very quiet west side to meet up with Patrick, Malcolmson, Sean.

Eloy left to play bikes with his co-workers, and we rolled out quickly, since it is July and everybody is FLYING. Took the usual Kissena route and split at Sparkill with Thierry turning towards Piermont while the rest of us went towards Bradley which was clearly a gunfight that I brought a sharpened stick to...ouch, Jill went towards Piermont and the rest of us pointed towards Watertower and we ground our way up that.

Mark, Malcolmson and I turned towards Nyack while Jim, Sean and the two Jeffs went towards Rockland lake. Jim and Jeff C were going long, while Sean and Jeff C met us in Piermont, and we rolled quickly back to city.

all and all a good day on the bike and home by 12:30 after 77 miles on the road.
Hey @niallsmart I'll meet you at the GWB at 9. My tentative plan is to ride River Road and then ride back along 9W. (I've got afternoon plans). But I could easily be persuaded of another route if it takes about the same amount of time.
Jeff, Patrick and I ended up further north, I think over South Mountain and then into Haverstraw. Made it to Piermont in time to watch the last 5k of the tour stage and then hightailed it back to the bridge where Patrick left us and Jeff and I continued onto Brooklyn and a brief trip to PP in order to tick over 100 miles. Awesome day on the bike.
Running 10-15 min late. If you need to get going, @niallsmart, don't worry about taking off without me.
@MaxThorn I assumed I would wake at the right time and didn't set an alarm. that should have been an hour ago  :# don't wait for me!
No worries Niall. I know the feeling. I'll tell you what--according to a
pre-recorded interview broadcast during yesterday's stage of the TdF--Chris
Froome says teammate Wout Poels tells him: Ya gotta rest to be the best.

Tried to talk Keith into coming.  We'll see.
I'm on the fence, I have this weird calf pain that I woke up with ,that doesn't seem to be getting better ,
may just try and ride it out in the park
SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY. I have a chicken taco stromboli special to work off. 8 a.m. BB, 9 a.m. GWB as usual. See you all there.
I am in
I'm in too
Jeff n Jill, Eloy, Craig, Giacomo, and myself rolled out.

River Road, 9W (Eloy and Craig turned back), then down Closter Dock to the low road and then the rail trail.  Then to Sparkill, where JnJ went for Piermont and Giacomo and I headed for Rockland Lake.  We went into the park, then down to the Hudson (for a little gravel grinding on 23mm tires), then back up from Nyack past the college, the wall, then Tweed to 9W and home.

Great company, fast riding, and some speedy climbing.

Giacomo and I were blowing by people down 9W until the golf course, where two guys were going fast enough to hang on.  We rode with them to Hudson Terrace and then dialed back the throttle.

Didn't have the chicken taco stromboli to work off, but now reading about it, I wish I had.
This weekend the TrainingPeaks workout for GMSRers calls for 4x10min FTP intervals early in the 3-hour ride (all other times endurance zone). Could anybody recommend some fresh climbing terrain for this workout? Something in Jersey, perhaps? Don't get me wrong, the usual River Road-9W-Bradley-Tweed loop is fun, but I'm curious about alternatives. (My Garmin is capable of turn-by-turn navigation if I upload a TCX file, in case anyone has a route they want to share with me that way.)
Max, I think that's still the standard plan. Not sure if Tim has added the GMSR plan yet.
