Good times today glad I caught up with everyone at piermont. By the time I got back into Queens I was on the verge of heat stroke. Thank goodness for shady streets and open hydrants. The last one 5 miles from home saved my life, brought down my core temp enough to get me home.
Yeah that heat was some realness - drank 2x what I normally would on a 70mi ride.

Great riding with you all!

Great ride today. At Piermont Bikes we concluded TDF is much better when we do our own commentary.

Brian and I waited at the bridge for 10 minutes. Another flat?
Thanks @mugwump for your Bergen County climbing route suggestions. I drew up a .tcx course using RideWithGPS that connected them together in a 40km loop, uploaded it to the Garmin 520, and we were ready. Giacomo and Dale and I--the Saturday sleepers and/or heat masochists--took it on. It was a blast. Giacomo and I liked it so much we went and did most of it again. Here's the ride on Strava. If anybody wants me to send them the .tcx file or join us next time, just say the word.

Yeah, Ben blew a tire that a boot barely fixed.  It happened at the base of the last sprint so he limped to Strictly's.

Oh yeah, and a shoutout to Eloy (and former Kissena Ashley B.) who I ran into at the ranger station!  I love seeing friends outside of the forum!
Lots of mechanicals today. Lots of heat. Great day to get out and ride with friends and ride. Brian is strong and a tough sprinter to come around.
Sunday ? Early start suits
For riding tomorrow, be aware that Riverside Park between 72nd and 81st Streets will be closed all day for the NYC Triathlon, according to posted signs I saw on my way through there earlier today.
I'm going buttcrack of dawn early tomorrow. Would love to have company if anyone is up for it. 5:15 BB - 6:15 GWB. Let me know by 9:00pm cause I'm not going to wait if I don't hear from anyone.
To avoid the NYC tri, will head to Cunningham tomorrow on the cross bike.

2:30ish of riding starting at 8:30am at the park.

Let me know if you wanna join, post here or call/text: 347.225.1058
I was thinking about a roll to Tacoway beach and back for breakfast…
What is your route to the beach?

See you there. I'm thinking low road, Bradley, Tweed, Nyack and then back through Piermont.
@JillWhite if Tacos are desired (I mean is that even a question), 9:30 departure, since they open at 10:30. Back by noon easy. https://www.strava.com/activities/636673845
