Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

10705 comments · 111606 views
I'm bailing on racing Sunday.

Sunken MEadow's loss is riding's gain.  9am at the GWB.  My tentative plan is to ride out to Rockland lake and back.  But depending on the crowd and the time, I could be convinced to do a wormhole special.
@UlrikeGlaser and I, maybe Jeff too, are meeting at 10am at GWB. Nothing crazy, easy pace to market
Le Sigh.

No Kissenas at the Bridge.  I ended up doing a great wormhole ride with ex-Kissena Zeb Nelessen.

Single track is awesome with friends, come join me.
ran into Phil today. He looks so awesome on a bike. December fire!

That was fun Eloy. Thanks for showing me the other trails i didn't know existed.
Regarding te 12/18/16 ride.

It is predicted to be 53 degrees at 8am.  I'm thinking of going.
If it is not raining I will join
Giacomo,
I arrived at the Jersey Side 9:06.  Left at 9:13.  Hope I didn't miss you.

Saw very few people on the road.  Only four on bikes until I got back to the bridge.

Did the Kissena Traditional until Nyack, then rode the hills around the College, then came back on 9W.  Cut it short for fear of being caught in a downpour, but it didn't start drizzling until I got back to the Bridge.  Le Sigh.  (I had a rain jacket in my pocket, a backscratcher fender installed--the only concern were my hands getting cold from a heavy rain)

The biggest issue with this weather was the fog.  Visibility seemed to get down dos about 25 feet or so in some sections, like around Clausland Mtn.  Not terrible going up, but freaky going down.  Also had low vis on 9W, particularly climbing to stateline.

Great to be out.  As always.

Sorry JP, I woke up late and didn't reply on the forum. Next time I will be more reliable! Next saturday should be fairly good and dry...
I'm going to be at the GWB at 9:00 AM ( BKB 8:00AM) on Saturday, it would be nice to meet other Kissena folks.
Oof, Xmas Eve is going to be hard to swing for me, but hope you find some joiners!
The weather forecast does not look too good for that day, bummer :(

Think sunshine and bring fenders.

I don't mind riding in the rain with my Shower Pass jacket on but only when the temperature is at least 50F.
Tomorrow, Friday 12:30pm departure from UWS to Piermont (1:00pm GW).
tomorrow at 8am at Bk Bridge, I should be there.

weather permitting of course
Going to try for some laps of PP tomorrow. Prob late morning between food and more food. Anyone around?
Heading out by 10:00 for about 90 minutes.
Back in NYC.

Planning on heading out tomorrow Jan 1st to Cunningham Park on the cross bike to ring in the new year.

Very open on time, but will probably be there for about 2 ~ 2:30 hours starting around 11:30am.

Come join me.
Eloy, game day decision for me, but I'll text you. Possibly 1230 meetup, but I need to leave under an hour.

Anyone up for Piermont tomorrow? 10:30am ish. Assuming there's nothing open in Piermont, perhaps Starbucks in Nyack.
Piermont was open last New Years day. I know cause I was there with a mechanical on my way to a bike camping excursion in Harriman. Ended up getting a lift back to the A train from a NJ buddy. This year, I'm probably PP bound.
@JohnMalcolmson meaning 10:30 GWB? Or arriving there 10:30 in which case I've clearly missed the boat.
Niall — post here or text me. Can depart 12:00pm from UWS.

Sorry I missed you @JohnMalcolmson hope you got out it was a beaut of a day. Saw @mugwump who had to ride on my side of the road to get a wave :) #tunnelvision #dehangovereator
^ No worries, ended up doing CP laps.
Chances are I'm going to be available to ride on Sunday or Monday (MLK).  Any takers?  I have no clue what the road conditions are so looking for some local guidance.

You're in town?

I'm planning on doing the Sunday ride at the very least.
