I'll join tomorrow and/or Sunday. Will the ride tomorrow still be @ 9 GWB? I also need to get back at decent time but I might just skip the coffee stop and hustle back. Planning on doing TP workout 3 x 15 SS at some point in ride

wait.
what?
who?
BTW,
Great day for a bike ride.  Wouldn't call it "pretty" out, but any time it's around 50 and the roads are dry in the winter is a great day for riding.

The fog was so intense on the GWB that the towers were impossible to see from more than 100 feet away.

Wish I could name everyone who came along, sorry to report I didn't get everyone's name.  We rode mostly social to Piermont, with a sort-of stateline sprint (next time, we need to to an organized readout), then I headed off to the orchard.

Happy to see the folks who came out.  But c'mon people, everyone should have been there.

Next week.
Saturday?  Sunday?

Peoples!

I should be there Sunday.
I should be there Sunday, too, at the usual time.

Tomorrow Giacomo and I are heading out to do ride the hills around Tenafly and Cresskill, where we'll do five three-minute V02 Max intervals. The route will look something like this. We'll probably hit River Road as a warm-up. We're meeting at 10:30 on the Jersey side of the GWB.
i may do a couple alpine repeats tomorrow just to punch my legs into action. i have to be back early so i can't go out for long.
I will be around Sunday morning.
I'm in for Sunday. Hoping to get in plenty of sprints ... town lines, state lines, gas station signs ...
sunday for me. i'm feeling the call of the kickr tomorrow...
Same here - see y'all 8am BB sunday
heading for a few prospect park laps now, should be there in about 15ish... text if you wanna join: 347.225.1058
Tentative plans to be there (unlike my sprint which is on a leave of absence).
I'll be there.  My goal is to get back to the GWB at 12:25.
I'm getting away from my usual 3 hour weekend rides and instead doing 1 hour zwift style races on the weekends and some resistance work...any positive or negative repercussions for this switch come next Spring?

When approaching other riders from behind you will attempt to ghost through them rather than after around them, with disastrous consequences
Nobody can ever be serious on these boards....
I'll be around next Saturday if anybody is out, not sure if I can make the Super Bowl ride unfortch.
Happy lunar new year ride today. Thierry and will totally caught me scarfing down a pre ride cart donut and coffee near the armory before the bridge. At the bridge it was Ben, Jeff W, Brendan, JP, Thierry, Will, and yours truly. Jill joined in her new spiffy Stan's kit.

Low road to Piermont, Rigby took the state line.  I was on his wheel desperately trying to draft but he simply floated away to the win. Homeboy is looking strong, and its no surprise with his 35 mile daily commute on a bike and gear that probably weighs 1/4 Yangs.

JP went long and split before Piermont.

At the shop we watched the men's worlds finale which was great. At the same time Jeff pulled me into a glorious prank (authored by Adam from what I hear) and what I propose should be a new tradition: Winner of whatever designated sprint gets awarded by spoke beads (dubbed spbeads or speed beads by Jeff and Ben). Rugby's front wheel was adorned with multicolored beads that jangled harmoniously with our free spirits on the ride back. His rear wheel's bladed spokes were inhospitable. A solution will be investigated.

We somehow lost Thierry as we left the shop. Sorry, Thierry, we didn't see you! Did you leave earlier?

Digression 1: I commented on Ben's cleat placement at the shop and while it never happened before, one of them became loose after the climb up the state park to 9w. Fear my psychic abilities.

Digression 2: There is a newish ghost bike right at that intersection. Frightening and a reminder that even a quiet and well traveled path outside of the city can be dangerous. RIP.

Good rotating paceline on the way back. Lots of gravel and debris on the shoulder of the road. Feeling low in wattage I lead out gas station. Surprising absolutely no one, Rigby took it and tripled up with Strictly sprint. He surely deserved those spbeads today.

I caught a slow leak so limped back to my car after blasting it with co2. Will have to investigate if a patch works on latex tubes. Nearly identical kit as last time except with shoe covers and a Rapha neck gaiter (which Jeff had an interesting comment on).

Good to be outdoors and riding with real people.
Great to see you all.

I made it to Rockland Lake, rode around the lake, climbed up to Clausland, then 9w home.  Ended up riding a hard tempo side-by-side with Dan of Wyld Stallyns.  Nice way to finish up.

Yang,
Patching latex is the same as any other.  Leave the plastic film on top of the patch.
thierry is probably still waiting for us at piermont?  seriously what did happen?  if we left him there we are evil...i got distracted watching cyclocross

the speed beads are really great! just when i thought my bike couldn't get any more colorful.

today was my inaugural ride on my new frankenwheel, reusing hubs and spokes (and nipples!) from another build.  seemed to work fine, wheel ended ride in same condition it began.

good to finally meet Ben. hi ben!
are we going to ignore my heroic solo breakaway to take strictly when no one was trying?
