@JohnMalcolmson and @Joshua Wilson I'll be there at 8:15
Snap - see you there.
It is always proud moment when I put on my Kissena Jersey. The riders before me have established a amazing reputation. Today I ran into Verizon Bob...who spoke highly of our team and JP. Bob send his best to the Kissena members and JP!

Thank you, for giving me the opportunity to be apart of Kissena.
Awesome.  "Jersey Bob," as he's often called in Central Park, is always fun to ride with.  Always in a good mood, always strong.  And he has a great collection of classic bikes, like the one you saw underneath him today.
I'm down. I'll be at the GW Jersey side at 9:00.

I’m in for some more grants practice and then heading over the bridge after
Epic ride today. Thanks for running though the GT course with me!

I think I'll be out plying the wet roads tomorrow.

Pity I couldn't join in today.  Looks like it was a great time. (and can we get a close up on Eloy's bootie game?  Looks strong)

Roll'n thunder Venge
fun ride yesterday for sure

the booties are from Alex Ostroy's awesome designs
As pretty as Rich and I looked on our new bikes, the checkered shoe covers stole the show.
Daaang that Venge is wild, Rob!
Got the hall pass for the afternoon.  Almost no one was out.
Made it to Rockland Lake.  Longest ride in two months.  wasn't strong but it felt great to be out there.

btw, they repaved a decent portion of 9W between Closter Dock and East Clinton.  Sad thing was the pipe that overflows and freezes water on the road in the winter, still overflows.

New Member Ride this Sunday in Prospect Park

All are welcome...come out & meet some riders interested in joining. Casual laps  in Prospect Park @ 9AM Sunday 3/3.
I don't want to overshadow the new member ride and all, but...

I'll be heading out tomorrow morning.  the GWB is closed now, but assume it will be open by then.

9am.  Would like to do a few group sprints, and some hard rotating pace line effort on 9W.
I’m in for tomorrow @gwb
i've already committed to pp new member ride but i plan on staying in the park after new member laps and getting in a couple hours at endurance / tempo if anyone wants to join
@Brian Miele I'm game...need to shake out my legs. Been off the bike for 2 weeks
I don’t think I can get out to the GWB by 9, but I’ll check in with you guys on slack and hopefully meet up with you guys somewhere in jersey
Great day on the road.
Just me and Robert M.
We took the Kissena ride out to Rockland Lake, around the lake, back to 9W, up the College hill, then 9W, to the back road climb to the Lamont Doherty Institute, then 9W the rest of the way.

Robert was climbing well, looking ready to race.

My fitness is coming back.  Last week, I had a hard time modulating my efforts on the road.  Even 200-250w efforts I had a hard time controlling; much different than indoors.  Today, much easier, and able to push hard on the pedals, though I need to work on the steep pitches---amazing what three weeks off the bike will do (and easing back into riding)

Agreed! Great ride/ loop today before all this snow.
This Sundays GWB Meet Kissena Ride is CANCELLED due to anticipated weather. The next meet kissena ride is currently scheduled for Saturday March 30th.
There is a New Member Ride Sat morning at 9AM in Prospect Park. @DotanGreenvald will be leading the ride.
Reserved a table tomorrow at Dino BBQ in Harlem at 2PM (after GT Mens CAT3/4). Let me know if you are interested (like this comment) and feel free to show up if you are out & about
I’m going to take advantage of the Saturday weather to head north from GWB at 9am tomorrow. Good luck to all the Grants Tomb racers tomorrow
GWB Meet Kissena Ride this Saturday 3/16

For anyone not racing Branchbrook this Saturday come meet some folks who are interested in joining the club! As always 8AM BB / 9AM GWB.
I know I am new to the team but I figured I would post to see if there is any interest in a ride I try to do every year.

I like to drive up to Harriman State Park and do 3 loops in the area. Each loop brings me back to the parked car so I do not have to carry as much liquid and food on the bike. After each loop, I can fill up at the car and use the facilities and head out for the next loop. In the event that I should be feeling awful I can bail without having to complete the whole thing. The third loop is the longest and goes up to the top of Bear Mt. It uses some of the roads the GFNY uses. Connect.garmin.com tells me the whole thing should come out to about 77.79 miles, with around 6,196 ft of elevation gain. I do not go to set a soul crushing pace, but a nice long day with some good long climbs is my aim. Be warned there are some fast descents on this course.

Looking at my racing/training schedule the only weekend I can fit this in without pushing to after the middle of May would be the weekend of March 30/31. I usually like to get there by 7:45am to avoid paying for parking. I have been told I can not take the Palisades Parkway with bikes on the roof, and considering I have a mini-van that might be close on some of the overpasses. I think I will drive up Route 9 on the east side of the Hudson and cross over when I get to Peekskill. Since I have a mini-van (aptly named BRSV - Bicycle Racing Support Vehicle), I do have room for three passengers (4 roof bike carrier with the option for two bikes with thru-axel.) Finally, if rain is forecast I will probably cancel. I have ridden there in the rain and I do not enjoy the experience.

Please let me know if there is any interest. I am attaching a link to the gpx file of the proposed route since it seems that I can not attach it here.

These are some pretty cool loops, including Tiorati, and variations on the bear mountain race loop. I am very interested, but was hoping to ride the Natchaug Epic in CT on the 31st, can't imagine trying to fit both. https://www.bikereg.com/41262

(btw, Bobby said he was coming to the Natchaug Epic too, I wish him well and good luck if he does both)
@eloy yes I agree doing both days in a row would be quite hard.
@eloy I was hoping we could get a team together for Natchaug. I think I am going to pass on it. I have an indoor tri that same day and I may race at Branchbrook the day before.
