Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

Hope our Kissenas at Bear had a good race.

My ride was a three-parter.

I was at the bridge at 9.  The VO2 Max gang rolled up looking to ride to Nyack for donuts, so I led them on our low road route, with the turn-y drop in Tenafly at the start.  Never a group to have an easy day, one of their Italian stallions ramped up the pace once we hit the low road, pushing the group to ride single-file.  Somehow I won the stateline sprint and then let them go north as I had to hustle home south.

While I felt super-sluggish on Saturday, I was merely feeling sluggish.  So I decided to test myself up 9W-Stateline.  And my heart was kind of responding.  Passed a few people on the way up.  When I sat up over the top, one of those I passed passed me back.  I passed him on the next hill.  And he passed me back when I sat up again.  I let him go and then reeled him in, picking up a passenger along the way.  Somehow, I burned off both the passenger and the guy I had brought to heel.  Since there was still a little juice left, I decided I'd try to squeeze it out back to Palisade avenue.

Only I came up to Greg by the gas station.  Cut the jets, and rode back yakking.

When I got home and uploaded the ride, i found out I had just crossed 200,000 outdoor miles since  2005 (according to WKO+)

Gents - hope everyone’s doing well. Anyone up for an early ride this Sunday?

I’m open to the usual GW–Piermont run, or laps in Prospect / Central Park. It’s been a minute with moving and bike repairs, so I’m looking forward to getting back in the saddle.

RJ,
    I'm on the fence.

My son is in town and trying to figure out if he wants to ride or needs help focusing on schoolwork.
I'll be at the bridge at 9am.  Back by 10:55 at the latest.
Saturday morning I will probably hit up Cunningham for some easy trail laps - 8a-10a.

Sunday looks rained out - Will probably get on the trainer and go for a longer Zwift session. Can organize an official ride on the platform if folks are interested.

I’m going road tomorrow, and down for Zwift on Sunday
Tomorrow I’m planning on 70-80 at endurance pace. Maybe low roads out and messing around Nyack before 9w back. Just gonna riff. Probably at the bridge by 8-8:30 if anyone wants to join
Fun little fall century with @BlakeFoster , weather took a turn for the worse

Was headed up much later when I saw you guys. Ugh. Was absolutely freezing on the way down from Lake Welch.  Still. Good day!
Super late notice. Gonna ride 9w to market, u turn, then work back to the bridge at a moderate to brisk pace. Aiming to hit GWB by 9:30 so if any late risers wanna join we can make it a good ole little group ride
9am sunday GWB, Jersey Side.

I've got to be back by 10:50, but i can do whatever in that time.

join me.
Weather dependent anyone up for a Gravel Century in Jersey on the Nov 15th. I'm thinking the Bedminster area, I can put together a route. I leave for vacation on the 20th and my "off season" will start when I get back so trying to blow out the legs one last time before the darkness gets real.
Team this Saturday November 1st, 9:30 AM: Cunningham on the Cross bike.

Trails w/ friends is the best fun, plus we'll celebrate halloween, daylight savings, and shakeout for the Marathon (even if we are just spectating)
btw, no pressure, but if don’t hear back, I’ll very likely will start at a different time
I’m going to meet Mark at the GWB tomorrow at 9:30. We are heading out late to let the roads dry out a little. Endurance ride to Nyack (Mark May head to orchards)
Not making the above time. Mark got a flat. New time 10:30
Hey all, this weekend on Saturday the 15th we’ll be hosting our last intro to Kissena ride for prospective members in Prospect Park. We’ll meet at the GAP triangle at 8am. Right now forecast looks dry but cold (low 30s).

We’ve got 5 guys RSVP’d as of now. Would be great to have 2-3 other Kissenas out to do a few chill laps and then grab coffee with the group. I’ll probably end up going back to do some endurance in the park afterwards.

Please let me know if you’re able to make it, hope to see some of you there!
I should be able to make it depending on how I'm feeling.  Fighting a cold right now.
I'll hang, party pace.
I might be able to make it...
Thanks all! Was coming to bump this; we have about 6-7 rides RSVP'd as yes; we'll see who actually shows in the cold. Look forward to seeing some of you in the morning.

8am sharp at GAP triangle!

Sunday ride anyone?

Seems like we've got a hillclimb to train for.
Hope everyone is well! did my friend Nick (tall dentist guy) end up coming to the new member ride?
Yo Eric, Nick rode with us, came all the way from his new place in the Bronx!

9am at the bridge.  I'm open to suggestions.
I’m good for that. Would like to turn around and head back toward the city by 10AM, if that works.
I’ll meet you on the NJ side.
Sure.
RJ and I enjoyed a sunny and windy ride in another sort of direction
