Late to this discussion about Saturday, but yes I apologize too for dashing off with Jeff.  He and I both had family obligations, and I always figured that the no-drop rule applied more to one or two stragglers than the pack - Jeff asked if we should wait and I said that Keith could rally the troops to catch up to us if necessary.  In retrospect that was probably unrealistic, given the pace we were setting.  In the future I'll make my timetable clear up front, and suggest a group split if necessary.  Jah.

New member here.  Where exactly do the Brooklyn Bridge starters meet up?  There's not a lot of standing room on the Brooklyn side of the bridge.  Will there be a ride this weekend?  Count me in!

Welcome Brendan! Yes, we do meet right at the start of the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge @ 8am most Saturdays and Sundays. Standing room isn't a problem as it's mainly other roadies out that early.

I'm fairly new to the team. I joined last year, but only raced a few times with my wedding planning and all that jazz. How far does the weekend ride go up past the GW bridge. Just want to get an idea to be sure I can be home in time for some other things. Also, I live out in Kew Gardens, does anyone ride from out that way?

looking pretty good for me for saturday - 8 am at BB.  will likely be doing more of an endurance pace, so will stick with group as long as possible....probably a piermont/sparkill turnaround for me, depending on where the group goes...

I will be riding long on Saturday for sure.  Sunday is looking like a Mr. Mom day or a shorter ride, sadly.

Okay gang. If you want to ride long and on the slower side. I'm going to attempt to do the 2nd of JPs primary NJ routes tomorrow.

This is the ride that takes in the 30 meter cobbled climb, among others.

Fair warning, I very well may get us lost once or twice, but I still know the area well enough to get us back home in under 5 hours. I know that most of you won't be able to get that hall pass, but it's my last weekend off before I get sucked back into the leg-sapping, brain-draining, world of ER nursing again. So I want to take another crack at it.

So, not only will I continue to be fat, but I'll be tired again too. I'm going to be so awesome this spring.

Alternatively, I do know, very well, without the prospect of getting lost, the Saddle River ride that takes in climbs such as Christmas Hill Road. It's a good ride too, just not as exciting for me, because now I know it so well. That is pretty much a flat 4-hour adventure. If there is a lot of interest in riding slow in inland Jersey, but not so much getting lost once or twice. I could be convinced to lead y'all that way.

If anyone is looking for an afternoon ride, I'll be starting at the GWB around 3pm tomorrow - 2 hours, some climbing, etc.

Wish I could join the morning ride but a Johnnies-Hoyas game at MSG has my name on it.

you dont wanna go to pebbleland...last time i took that road about 2 or 3 weeks ago, it was a disaster still (assuming we're talking about the same pebbleland) but someone who took it more recently perhaps can advise better on the situation here. I am game for tomorrow as well.
