Nice 100-foot drop-in! You're killing it on the BMX, man.
I awoke at a glorious 8 something. Oh well I missed today's ride. Sounds line it was fun.
We came back across the bridge at 9:30 or so and there were tons of folks headed north. Ugh.
We were out just early enough to get mainly shade both ways on 9W. Good ride. I think it was my first time over the bridge since March.
Heading to PP to do 6-8 x 3min intervals in the heat; I'll be on the center road if anyone wants to stop by with a bucket.
not only do i love the fact that yang took "philip romov"'s commute, but also that kissena owns each of the top 6 spots. take that, romov (whoever you are).

great ride today.  interestingly i beat each of my own PBs on the initial climbs out of piermont.  this on my significantly heavier steel bad boy, with fenders.  i guess that tool armstrong was right about one thing: it's not about the bike.
This one just about sums it up...

I saw the 6:30 am train steaming back toward the GW on 9W as I was heading out to Bradley.  Several dudes had fully drawn faces or were hammering with heads down.  Nice job lads.  And Strava seems to think you guys did 25+ mph on the way up the West Side, until you hit 72nd.  That is ridic.  I'm surprised there weren't more forced slow downs over that stretch.

I managed to get within 9 seconds of my best time on Bradley today, which was encouraging.   Still plenty of gains to be made though.
@Joaquin I think we had a tailwind for that stretch and it was totally deserted...

I was a minute off my best time up to Nike and Ryan was a tiny dot up ahead of me...

I think I've drunk 4-5 liters of fluid today. Think I'm almost back to even...
Yeah, I weighed 165 naked this morning when I woke up. After the ride (during which I drank 4 full bottles of fluid and ate a couple bars) I weighed 163.5 in my soaking wet kit.
sunday early ride.

anyone?  anyone?  bueller?
I might be up for a 6:30 start to beat the heat.
I'll be in the park for an hour of hard stuff.
Will prob need to do a hangover ride at PP. 9am @ GAP, easy spin for an hour before it gets unbearable. We may end up getting iced coffee and pie afterward...
I'll be up for an iced coffee when I'm done... probly before you begin tho
@jules - What time are you starting?
7-8am
My belly is too full of meat and beers...9am for me!
6:30 a.m. BB. I'll be there. River Road and back, no funny stuff.
I'm gonna (wait for it....) RIDE THE TRAINER. Yup, in July.

Sleep in, breakfast, trainer in the AC with the tour in front of me.

I don't understand any of what you just said
thinking about a ride up to piermont after the R&A race on Sunday.  it's the 1-year anniversary of the most fucked-up strava KOM of my short-lived bike racing 'career.'
Yeezus, that's tachtastic. WTF happened, man?
you nailed it on the head.  255 mu' fuggin' bpm last july 9 on a PP recovery ride after a 2-race weekend.....

genetic condition....docs advise "no more interval training or racing" blah blah blah....anyway.  i'm pretty good about keeping up on the rollers and the flats, but will be dropped like a bad habit on any tarmac that tilts up for more than 1/2 mile......
Yuuuugh. Stupid genetics - probably some dickish L-type channel, fucking
shit up as usual. I think you should become a gravel grinder specialist.

I guess I'll make a rule general rule for myself, though: "keep watts >>
BPM". Luckily neither breaks 175 very often, so I guess I'm safe for now.

See you there. Hammers, semi mellow or a mix?
Mix, want to save my legs for track day on Sunday. Also I only did an easy social ride on Tuesday and slept in the rest of the week. I will be weaaaaak.
