@Emily want to go later than 6am?

@Meredith, believe me you're speaking my language, but I work at 9:00 so don't have much wiggle room at the moment.  That could change in the next couple months, and I'll let you know if it does.  The latest I could go is 6:30 usually if I want to get at least an hour in :(

Also, David's comment reminded me to check the weather and it's looking decidedly not dry, which means I'll probably stick to trainer/stationary tomorrow anyway.  Boo.

Anyone heading out tomorrow morning?
Uh, yeah.

my apologies for the delay. For today, Tuesday what you should do just ride your bike. Tomorrow Wednesday will do your time practice again 22 last time trials are starting at the bottom of the hill and ending at the top three times up the hill. Thursday, you should dohey hard ride together and well like I said ride hard rotate a piece line really hard sometimes another word have a nice kind of unstructured but hard work out.
If doesn't rain I'll be at GAP 6am for pacelines.

If it rains, I'm going to sit on the trainer and be really annoyed.
sorry again for the delay. I am trying to keep you fresh for the races this weekend. So please repeat what you did last week again.
This is all just the lull before THE WORSTEST WORST storm.
What exactly is the "Worst?"

I'm pretty sure we could get a good list of misery-inducing workouts here.
The Worst - 30 second all out intervals up center drive.  I'm usually at the edge of upchucking after the 7th or 8th one.

The Revenge of The Worst - All out intervals the entire length of center drive.  I don't even have the energy to upchuck after the 4th or 5th one.
I'm gonna try and make out tmrw morning for endurance around 6:00 am
One more week of keeping the powder dry for the weekend.

Make Wednesday a hard group ride in the park. The other days just ride.

Or race if you can get out to Floyd or Kissena!

Planning on a hard group ride tomorrow morning.  If I'm not at GAP by 6am I'll be waiting down by the pinch at the bottom of the hill.
I'm down for tomorrow am.
I'll try to make it too
im foreseeing the snooze bar in my future. don't wait up for me if I'm not there.
Sorry guys, just slept through 2 alarms. Go on without me.
A good training ride this morning.  Rotating paceline with Jim, Eric, Dale, Jay, Jeff C., Erika, Mckay.  It was nice to train with a good group again, and to practice our bike handling skills dodging trucks, police cars parked in the road, and pigeons.

I did a little research, as one will do, and pigeons apparently mate for life and have no specific season for mating, as long as the weather is good.   My observations suggest otherwise, as they appear to be mating now, in the middle of the road.

Thoughts and good wishes were sent to those at Floyd last night.
yeah, that was a nice machine to ride in this morning.  pretty smooth.
After waking up on the later side and resigning myself to yet another unstructured recovery ride this week, I was elated to hear some one shout "On your right!" quickly followed by "Hey! Join us!" as I slowly made my way up the hill. And join I did!

Nice riding with you guys this morning! Thanks for the good, steady paceline practice and thanks for pulling me (quite literally) out of the recovery doldrums.
I'm gonna try and be out tmrw in the AM
Gonna try as well. Endurance for me.
Bailing : (
Fun was had by all tonight at the bar congratulating the awesome women's KCC team.  It's late, I'm a little loaded, and I'll be at GAP at 6am.  I'm doing center drive hard efforts tomorrow, and I'll meet you at GAP and do a warm up lap.
You're welcome to join me.  You're welcome to ride in a paceline, or do solo workouts.  It looks like there will be rain.  Rain means fenders.

OK,
you've done three weeks of being ready to race and there are still a few more race weekends coming up. However, it might be time to step back a bit from the race and rest philosophy of the past three weeks and get back some strength and fitness. So, here is the next three weeks.

Week 1
Tuesday -
Wednesday - group ride day - paceline - single or double. But get some nice time cruising together and working on being SMOOTH...
Thursday - Jumps -  Head to center drive and do 3 10 sec jumps with 10 sec in between. Start by the containers so you don't run out of room. Finish the third, head back to the containers by going on the loop  and heading downhill. Go back to center drive and repeat. Do four of these loops.

Week 2
Tuesday - Threshold Work - 2x2 Lap TT efforts. Use the Zoo as your start line and the top of the uphill as your finish line. Use one lap to recover.
Wednesday - group ride day - paceline - single! SMOOTH and FAST. Take pulls of about 30 seconds. Focus on pulling to the top of a rise or bottom of a valley before pulling off - this keeps things smooth...
Thursday - Those jumps were fun, no? This time, do them on the flats starting before the temple - do sets of 4 x 10s on / 10s off. Do three sets of these using center drive to cut through for your recovery laps.

Week 3
Tuesday - Threshold Work - 3x2 Lap TT efforts. Use the Zoo as your start line and the top of the uphill as your finish line. Use one lap through center drive to recover.
Wednesday - Double paceline - 30 second pulls again - smooth - focus on getting onto the rear wheel as you descend backwards. Don't chase back onto the group.
Thursday - Had enough with the jumps yet? Good. This time, keep them on the flats and do 4x15s/15. Do 2- sets of these using Center Drive as your recovery loop.

Good luck.
A good meetup this morning.  5 of us at Gap when we rolled out.  Two took off into the stratosphere with a little bit of threshold work at the bottom of the hill.  I turned at Center Drive.  Two went on.

Center Drive efforts, in case you've forgotten, are awful.  Once my legs swelled like sausages, then it was just me against me, my head asking if I should slow down, and in response I increased my cadence.  F you, me!  Wait, what?  Training is fun.

Fortunately, I was then joined by Dan, who got to experience the awfulness with me.  We dodged a group of runners under the watchful eye of a coach, dog walkers, cars driving on the opposite side of the road, and at one point, a pack of wild dogs (this being Park Slope, these were dogs that hadn't been groomed in 10 days or so) that came running out of the bushes into the middle of the road, stopped, turned and ran back.
I considered that to be good practice, since races and rides in general always throw a pack of wild dogs at you, in one form or another.

On a cool down lap, we watched Craig Z fly past, as well, doing some threshold work.  You looked good out there.

Nice to see everyone this morning.  This is the start of some good Team Training, even if that means just saying hello at 6am.
Another meetup of 5 this morning at GAP.  Good to see Team Kit in the early AM, even if today warranted base layers and long sleeve jerseys.
We rolled and did a hard paceline (hard for me), chasing after and then past the Prospect Peloton which was out in full force this morning.
I saw Thierry flying along the road doing hard efforts.  And we were joined by Dan who slotted into our group.
Though a bit cool, a nice morning of training.

Two days of hard efforts makes overtaking that fixie guy on the Manhattan bridge this morning that much more rewarding.

I'll be at GAP tomorrow at 6am.  I'm doing hill repeats, and will be glad to have company for a warm-up lap.  The weather looks to be decent, so haul your can out of bed.
No Floyd tomorrow night @Bruce?
Taking another week or two to get my training back on track.  Stop by the park tomorrow and I'll give you $15 and you can watch me get dropped by the Prospect Peloton, so I can get it out of the way before the sun is up.
