Yeah. See. No cranks OR pedals. He has a motor hidden in the frame!
Does anyone have extra 2013 kit they want to part with?

Spartacus doesn't chose nor service his own stuff. Don't be a tool.
Well...it's true he doesn't service his own stuff.  But Speedplay is probably the choice of the riders on Spartacus' team.  I don't think Speedplay has the cash to compete with Shimano, which takes care of the rest of the components and Shimano leans on most of their teams to have everything Shimano.  But the team also might get a pass from Shimano, as Trek is a major shimano purchaser, and Trek wants their wheels, bars, stems, posts, saddles on the team bikes.

If any one needs a desk, I've got one that I'll give to a KCC member that'll give it a good home and can take it off my hands this weekend. Here is a link to it. http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/fuo/3847865253.html
@Aaron, I have a tifosi you can have for free.  It comes with three lenses inc clear.
I just emailed you @aaron
selling a few bikes.  they'll go on craigslist in a week or so, but i wanted to offer them here first at a KCC discount (just enter the code KISSENA when you handover the cash).

  • 2000 lemond buenos aires.  here she is: (http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?year=2000&brand=LeMond&model=Buenos+Aires).  105 throughout, awesome reynolds 853 frame.  it's 59 or 61.  whatever -- it's for tall people.  a few chips here and there but nothing major.  in much better shape than you'd expect for being 13 years old.  back in the day it retailed for $1,500.  i've seen them sell lately for $650.  but if someone offers $475 it's theirs.
  • batavus old dutch (http://www.realdutchbikes.com/products/batavus-old-dutch-rn-2012).  this is my wife's bike -- 52cm frame.  bought it for her a few years back but she's since freded up and bought a trek road bike.  perfect condition, barely ridden.  paid $900 for it about three years ago.  selling for $400.
  • linus roadster classic.  basically, it's this bike in cream (http://www.linusbike.com/models/roadster-classic/).  i do not remember the exact frame size, i suspect XL / 58-60cm.  it's been my around-town bike for about three years now.  i won't pretend its paintwork is perfect, but the bike itself is super solid.  it's an ideal commuter / beater / hipster-sympathizer.  paid $450 for it.  selling for $150.

PM me if you're interested. am open to offers.

on a related note, though technically not bike-related, in the coming weeks we will be putting our apartment up for rent and selling our car.  very brief details below.  if you or someone you know are interested, let me know and i'll provide more details.

  • 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in fort greene (vanderbilt btw myrtle and willoughby).  it's about 1,200 sq ft, and that includes a private 200 sq ft patio.  it's this condo building: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/building/clermont-greene.  it'd be a one-year lease.  we also have a private underground parking spot, but could rent that separately.
  • 2005 acura TL.  only 65k on the clock.  great condition throughout.  pic (of a an identical model) attached.
Mark, are you leaving?
^ will explain over a beer / ride one day, but long story short my wife and i are taking a year out to travel.  it's been in the works for a long time and we've finally gotten our shit together to the effect that we'll be leaving, all being well, sep 1st.  our plan is to come back to new york, though, which is why we are renting our place versus selling.

karlee mocks that i won't be able to talk about / fix / ride bikes for a long time.  i tell her that i am genuinely concerned about this.  we laugh.  what she doesn't know is that i 100% will be buying and riding cheap bikes in most countries we visit.  around the world in 80 bikes, if you will.
Mark, PM-ed you...

Congrats on the adventure, you just made lots and lots of people jealous with your upcoming adventures!
I'm definitely jealous..  but two more months of racing @Mark!
Awesome mark. Do it before kids.

Cervelo P2C, 2008 with Dura Ace gruppo and FSA Cranks/TT Chainring

Size 58"

I have no idea what this thing is worth so hit me up with your B.O.

Don't make me take this thing to the chop-shop that is Ebay!
no more TTs for you?
I'm sure they'll be there sometime in the future but this thing is gathering dust and somebody ought to be out there riding it because lord knows I don't have the time...
Anyone have clip on TT bars I can borrow for the weekend. I'm a little ambivalent about trying anything new, but if the price is right . . .

I do.

Unless Joe has them. Joe?

Not strictly cycling related, but maybe helpful for those early bird races / training...:

I'm giving away my Nespresso machine. I paid $99 two years ago; it works fine / clean. The problem is that it is 120V; so is it US only and won't work where i'm going (UK).

@owens
Will you be at Brookdale campus on Wednesday where I could get them from you? Or do I have to make more of an effort?

I'll be around. They rode Joe to a top ten TT at Dragons!

Email.

@Floris I would love the Nespresso — will be in park tomorrow morning, can you put it in back pocket?
Tomorrow morning? Don't you have a jersey to defend?
@Eragot I don't have your tt bars. But now you have me nervous. Are they in your basement?
This ain't for a while... But Keiran and I are going to be looking to borrow aero helmets(preferably sponsor correct) for our attempt at the New York State Elite Mens Team Sprint title.
