...in your garage next to where your rakes hang on the wall.

Would anyone happen to have a hardshell travel case that they would be willing to let me borrow from December 20 through January 1? I'm headed out to visit my parents in Northern California and wanted to do some serious climbing. How serious? Way too serious for a rental bike. Alternatively, would anyone happen to have such a case that they're looking to sell?
.

Hey Erika,

I have this travel case:

collecting dust and taking up space in my storage unit. It's not a hard case, but I find that with the thick foam, that is encased in hard-ish plasticy panels, internal mounting points for BB and the fork, that it travels well. Big durable caster wheels and a shoulder strap help getting through airports.

Anyway, if you can make it up to Washington heights, you are welcome to borrow it, and I would sell it too. I haven't used it in years.
@erika-

I have one of these Serfas hard cases you can borrow and/or buy. It's in
storage on 3rd Avenue in a storage facility on 3rd Avenue in trendy Gowanus.

@Erika you can use our Pika Pack http://pikapackworks.com/ which has served us very well over the years.
@Erika, I have a Pika Pack (soft case) you're welcome to borrow as well, but seems like you have tons of options here :)
@Erika by my count you're now obliged to ride like 6x what you'd planned; a half dozen different bikes each day.  Better bring some extra bottles...
Woah! So many generous folks with awesome cases. Thank you @Marc & @Neil & @Jules & @Ros! Sadly I'm only traveling with 1 bike, but would be happy to take all the cases off your hands, especially if they came pre-filled. @Jules if I could borrow the Pika Pack that would be great. Been doing some more research around soft cases and I'd love to try that one out!
@Erika- I don't know if it changes your decision, but my comes filled with gold bullion.
Bullion is for amateurs.  Ours is filled with MARSHMELLOWS
...and along with the bike case filled with gold, you get a Frogurt (tm) with choice of topping.
Hmmm... seems suspiciously easy to take an oversized piece of specialty luggage out of someone's NYC-sized apartment. Perhaps I should consider this, as well as special bullion and/or marshmallow features, before purchasing.
Neil's Simpson's reference FTW.
@David-I knew I could count on you.
Yeah I've got a hard case in carroll gardens you can borrow if needed - it's the Trico one.
Hey all,

Would anyone happen to have a 120mm 0 or 6 degree stem they are looking to part with or let me borrow?
Yep!

@Gwynna- As long as you're vouching for her : ), she can borrow my hard Serfas case (not filled with gold bullion though since she isn't a Kissena).

It's not at my apartment though. It's at a storage place on Third Avenue and 1st Street  so it would be ideal if she could arrange to meet me there one of these weekends so I can give it to her.  She can e-mail me at neilxross@yahoo.com.  I actually have two of those cases if anyone else needs one. (I'd love to sell one or both of them one of these days.)
FWIW -  I think Pete (and maybe Jessica) from Ride Brooklyn did the La Vuelta Puerto Rico a few years ago if your friend needs any additional information on the event..
@neilx I'll take one of those cases off your hands.

@Wilson-That's great.
It's the older version of this one.

It's roughly 10 years old but has only made about 2 trips in that time, so it remains in good shape.
This style case takes a bit more bike dis-assembly generally than some of the soft cases, but the hard sides arguably afford a bit more protection and size/shape-wise it fits within the UPS size limits (i.e., such that it;s not considered over-sized" by UPS standards) if you ever ship your bike ahead of you via UPS -- as I've done in the past.

I was hoping to get about $100 for it if it sold through Kissena (more elsewhere), but you can take a look at it and let me know what you think it's worth.

PM me and we'll figure out how to connect.
Thermoshield Pro Winter Jacket, size SM, for sale.

Brand new, never worn, got it with the last order. Its a very nice jacket. There's nothing wrong with it, really, but I don't like how it looks/fits. And I'm picky.

But its the hi-tech one everyone is wearing right now.

Will sell for $100 - it costs $130 from the clothing store.

Ryan you are becoming as shallow as me myself.  Step up yo Rapha game.  We have to save their brand from the 9W hordes of Freds in their kit.
i was nearly run over on the GWB yesterday by a rapha train that considered high speed the only stylish way to navigate a blind turn.  jeff, if it was you...
