My shifter broke off in my hand at the starting line. I chased with a yellow SRAM neutral bike on ~40 psi for ~25 miles until I pinch flatted. Got a warranty replacement promptly via Ride Brooklyn. One or two day turnaround.

SRAM shifters shift better than mechanical Shimano. I won't buy mechanical Shimano until and unless that changes.

My first gen SRAM red shifters from 2008 work flawlessly and have had no problems. While I don't know if shifting is better than Shimano, it certainly is more crisp.

I keep waiting for Stokes to chime in about insufficient sample size.

I have first gen Red stuff too...no probs.  I think sometimes the economy of scale can hurt the quality of production.  Truth be told...the magazines portray a racers lifestyle for these products but what percentage of their users actually train and race like we do?  Maybe 10%?  The rest may aspire to ride hundreds of miles a month but likely don't.  This may be more pronounced for the lower tier grouppos (Rival).  The mass market stuff has the lowest premium and manufacturers need to get tons of it at the lowest possible price. Or to put it more scientifically....some of you guys just have the shittiest luck I've ever seen.

I have a 2010 Focus Izalco  Milram Team edition 52 cm bike with Sram Red components and Bontrager Aeolus  wheels, no pedals, 3T stem, handelbar and seatpost. will best fit rider up to 5'8". Exellent, stiff bike, god for climbing and sprinting equally. ask questions.

@VladiKhlopine - you also have an air compressor, and that is more impressive.

Wheels:
DT Swiss RR 1450 TRICON. Shimano 10s freehub.

These are lightweight alloy clinchers that are also tubeless ready, if that kind of thing floats your boat. White hubs and rims and black spokes. And they do weigh pretty close to the claimed 1450g.
These are from 2011/2012 and for shimano 10S. I have no idea if you the new 11S cassettes fit.

The hubs and freehub all spin fine. The front wheel is perfectly true, the rear could use a little truing, not a lot - it's not especially visible to the eye - but I put it in my wheel jig so I know. Unfortunately I don't have the correct spoke key for the alloy spokes DT uses - otherwise I would have trued it up.

the lightweight freehub is marked and pitted from the cassette sprockets. Common for shimano, although this is a little more pronounced than usual.

Comes with Titanium skewers - they are the DT Swiss spin stix design.

Because I don't have a wheel box and I can't be bothered to beg one from an LBS I can't sell these via ebay, but they need to go to a good home rather than take up valuable space in my house.

Hence $150 for the pair.
