Wilson at Redbeard--who discovered the problem while the wheels were in the shop for my build--said he looked into converters but that nothing works. Those endcaps look like what I imagined must exist to address this problem, but if they would work then why would Wilson not have recommended them as a fix? If I know such things exist, he certainly does.
I won't speak for Wilson he knows things I don't. Not all hubs take all endcaps. 15mm is sometimes a different hub than 12mm. For definitive answer call Stan's they are upstate NY business and built the wheels

It's new tech to me. This is my first bike with thru-axles. Wilson said he called Stan's about it.

Question remains: could you turn them into QR? I'll get an answer to that for any prospective buyers out there.
couple items for sale. trying to get some cash so I can buy more fidget spinners.
been meaning to post this bike stuff going on 12 months now.

1) cycle ops fluid 2 trainer with the riser block - great condition - good as new. retails 300+ with the block. yours for $100. switching to roller and wahoo.

2) garmin forerunner 910xt (swim, bike, run). can be used as a standalone bike computer. does all the stuff the fancy ones do, just the screen isn't in color and there is no bluetooth. a true workhorse. asking $50. was given a newer running watch as a birthday gift.

3) bontrager duotrap/trap queen digital sensor. never used. $70 retail. yours for $25.

4) Lezyne Micro Floor Drive HV (High Volume). sick titanium hand pump. light as a feather. really for mtb, but still small enough to jam in your kit. retails for $50. your's for $20.

5) Tess' painting. it was slightly damaged, but only a trained eye would notice. part of a series for which the other paintings, this same size, and look, went for $2k each. 24x18. oil on panel. perfect for as a gift to your lady. and I really want to put my bob marley poster back up. yours for $500.

pics below.

quick update, everything is sold, except the painting. All was gone within about a minute. Nice work KCC!

but the painting remains  :'(

I'll paint some happy bikes on top of Tess' floral work and repost  :p

If anyone else is looking for a trainer.

I still have a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine (fluid trainer) up for grabs. $100.
If the sale falls through on the Swedish penis enlarger...hit me up

Sorry @twoyacks, I'm already putting it to good use.
Glad you didn’t include a picture. We might have had to censor it!

if it's any consolation, i) I showed Phil how to use the penis enlarger at cross practice and ii) he didn't need much instruction. Phil informed me this will be his second penis enlarger. he's been using a larger more sophisticated version at home for years.
changing the above thread to "mechanical penis doping"
Do you need a rough and tumble pony to get around town? A reliable, steely beast that will get you there?  I have the perfect bike for you! lol used car sales pitch

I now have too many bikes in my apartment and it's time to make some room. I'm selling my commuter bike, a 2015 Fuji Declaration Single Speed. Steel frame, stock vera aluminum wheels with a flip/flop free/fixed rear hub. It's a size small 52 cm. gear ratio 48:16.

I just put on a new set of Vittoria 28c tires. I've been commuting on it for the past year. It has some scuffs and a Japanther sticker on the front fork. Looks like this guy below.

Asking price $250 or best offer?

Now that I’ve built the PoochMover™ I am getting rid of my former commuter. Kona Dew Plus - retails for around $600 - make me an offer I can’t refuse - just want to make room in the bike garage.

Everythjg stock except the Compass tires, Speci saddle and Oury grips. This thing is a solid battle axe. Google it for specs.
honest post: could you put a drop bar and shifters and come race cyclocross with your friends on that bike?

Or plenty of folks race straight bars.
Kayt told me that in Portland its kind of a thing - 1/3 of the racers are using straight bars.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm that isn’t a bad idea

For Sale:

Brand new/unopened men's medium Fleece bibs short. Gran Fondo Chamois.

$90

@MarcosGirado, are you selling because they don't fit? If so, and if you're trying to size up to a size L in the same item (two big ifs, I know), we could work out a trade.

If the trade with Max doesn't work out. I'll buy them.
@MaxThor@eloy,  Ordered the wrong size, too big.

I'll buy it from you then.
Bought these shoes used on eBay as an experiment.  Specialized Recon Gold.  Carbon soles, some toe flex, covered in rubber, threaded for toe spikes. Reflective around ankles. Wanted to try lace-ups.  Figured they could be for 'cross or city-riding.
Turns out, the 44.5 in these is not based on the same last as the 44.5 S-Works road shoes.  They're too small in the toe box for me.  If you ride Specialized 44, I bet they'll fit well.
$60.

Anybody running Campy brakes and could use 4 lightly used Swiss stop yellow brakes pads ,
Free !
does anyone need a rim-brake front wheel on the cheap? it could be tubular....e-mail me, rigby.b@gmail.com
A friend from my Houston club will be in town during the week of thanksgiving (Nov 19 - 26) and looking for a road bike to ride during the week.  He's 5'10", perfect for a M Giant.  If anyone has one available on loan / rent / gifted growler / Astros WS Championship gear , please let me know :)

Hi Scott,

I've got two options Giant Propel SL. and Giant cross bike.  Happy to lend, (or sell for that matter, either) However, they are both large and the propel is a little limited on seat height.  I'm 5'11 and T-Rex body style.  Let me know if he wants to give them a try.  I'm in Gowanus.

Hi @Dale Suttle , thanks for update! I've let my friend know and have asked him to reach out to you if he thinks one of the two will fit him.   Thanks again
