"Tubbs" (me) has signed up.  Is Crockett (Ryan) coming?

Can't wait to finish mid-pack in the 4's with a devastating 5'25".

I'll be there for the priviledge of having Roger Aspholm beat me.

Maybe we can get a nice ride in afterwards.
If I can get a babysitter and it's under 90 I'm in.

Yeah JP - you me and Jeff can ride after, along with anyone else who shows.
A ride to Piermont after sounds good.

Cant' wait for Aspholm to do a sub 4'20".
Ahhh... a weekend of uphill Time Trials as this intrepid season roars into Summer.
Cielo don't got nothing on Alpine. But it is 3x longer.
Well......more consecutive weeks off the bike than on in the last few months but what the hell, I registered.
I figure ive lost about 60w off my 5 minute power and gained about 7lbs so im not expecting anything other than motivation to train.
I'm in for riding after as well. I've actually never ridden this climb, but I figure it'll be a fun test regardless.
someone volunteer to be the Marshal Captain at sunday's L&C Cup

all the details are here

this is a much-needed position that charlie I, who asks very little and gives a whole lot, has begged us for

email him at cibike@aol.com

thanks

Start times are up - not really ideal for the group ride after

8:46:30 Ashley Bernes

8:54:00 Adam Fabian

9:57:00 Jeff Owens

10:22:30 Ryan Johnston

10:55:30 J.p. Partland

Go without me.  I understand.

bummer.
I have no problem hanging around a bit afterward. Ashley, do you want to meet up and ride there together? Ryan and Jeff, not sure what time you'll head up there.
Do repeats until JP is done.
I'll wait for you, Ryan.  Always and forever....
Sorry guys, no sitter.  Going to do Mr. Mom repeats instead.  I'll be out on Sunday though.

Meh, we'll see. If Jeff waits for me, then we're only a half hour waiting for you. Worst case, we could go on up to Piermont and meet you there to ride back together. Seems workable.
I don't know any results yet, but the finish was just past the tank, seemingly forever past the "no passing" sign. I think I did around a 5:20. So I'll take that.

Best part was Ryan racing with his second-nut-sack (saddle bag) on! Easily 2-3 lbs. Haha. I'm sure he still did great. We are so f'n PRO.

I think I was 5:08 unofficial. Had hoped to go under 5 based on last weekend with William where we did 4:47 to the crest, but with full bottles, full pockets, etc.

Yeah, the saddle bag thing was IDIOTIC. I emptied my pockets, took off my bottles, and left THAT. It was stuffed full because it had Owens' stuff in it too - a tube, tire lever, a few cartridges, a mini multi-tool. It was heavy. I also had trouble shifting into the big ring coming over the top and I'm sure that cost me a few seconds. Probably should have just left it in the small and spun it up hard.

Oh well, I'll end this excuses segment by saying I think the winning 3 time was 4:48 as far as I heard, and I wasn't doing that no matter what. So, whatever.

Nice muffin ride with Jeff and Adam after.
You also gotta consider we did a proper standing start, no 20 mph running start like most usually count!

And it was a good, what, 20 feet from the pavement change and around the corner?

Again, I'm not fast uphill, but the times are way different than a straight running start only until the No Passing sign.
True all
Results are up

Nice work Ry-Ry
I would say Jeff Owen's ride is most impressive!

Especially since Alexsei Zakharov has already submitted his 3 upgrade.
I'll take 5th, for an old fatty-cakes that's out of shape it's a decent time @ 5:18.  And being only 11 seconds slower than Aspholm.......AND RYAN JOHNSTON!!!  That's right, RJ officially tied RA in an uphill TT.  Props!

Hey, Roger Aspholm coming off a broken back is still Roger Aspholm...

(NOT)

And Adam F with a 6th in the 5's. Nice work Adam.
Thanks Jim. It probably would have helped a bit if I had ridden the climb at least once before the race (although Ashely and I did soft pedal our way up for a warmup), but it was a fun ride and felt good to compete.
Did it look like this? https://player.vimeo.com/video/43938083

that's Quinn Keough!

he was at my house 6 weeks ago . . . we went on a ride up to piermont . . . very nice dude.

he also sprinted so fast on 9W that he got in the draft of a passing truck . . . i was like "bwuh!??"
