Looking forward to riding and racing as hard as I can until I'm eventually, inevitably dropped, but having fun all the way. This lack of time to train thing sucks. I wonder if my office would care if I put a CycleOps next to my desk.
smack talk...
Eric, saying the words "feces" and "smack talk" is not the same as talking shit or talking smack.
can we get a roll call?

From this thread I see in:

Eric R.
Mike P.
Mattie
Norm
Jeff W.
Jules
Adam
Dave Sterns

anyone else?

I'm in
I believe Jules is OUT. I am in, though.
I'm in.
I am out. Somehow I don't think I can even hang with you guys one lap if I can't get my HR over 125, or cough without feeling like a little gremlin is punching me in the side. I will be there on the sidelines cheering you all on. I suggest you all make the effort to make it out for this race.
I'll be there. Domestique.
I'm probably out of the racing action but may come to hoot, holler and heckle. Unfortunately I've got no health insurance at the moment so, sadly, road racing is out.
I'll be there ready to throw down
I'll be there.
I have a necklace made from the bones of Prospect Roadkill 2011 vintage if anyone needs some more POWER...
question: If a guy can average just over 29.5mph from the bottom of the hill to the finish line... what sort of gap would he need to stay away to win, assuming a hard-driving pack of Kissenas chasing?
^ I'm thinking at least 20-30 seconds (at the bottom of the hill) for a decent shot at a win... but I might be off.
My math isn't sharp enough for an actual answer to your question. But if you assume that the chasing pack will average, say, 30.5 mph, and you know the exact distance you speak of, I'm pretty sure there is a calculation that any reasonably bright 8th grader can figure that will tell you at what point Train B runs into the back of Train A.
I'll be there, too
@Marc --yeah, I reckon my shit-talking prowess may be even less impressive than my feeble attacking prowess (which is, in turn, even less impressive than my racing tactics). I just wish we had a club Individual TT championship... maybe I'd have a shot at doing well in that one year soon. Wishful thinking aside, I'm really looking forward to the race Saturday!
I guess I know whose wheel to suck when he launches a Boonen/Gilbert/Voeckler style pre-sprint late race attack!
Jorge Aguilo, Jeffrey Albano and I will be there in the 5s
If Norm shows up with bleach blond hair you all might as well sit up. It's gonna be game over.
will he bleach his 'stache?
Y are all the good race's on saterday? I want to race so badly I just cant becuase Im an orthdox Jew I wish they would change it to sunday!!! Maybe next year
I'll be there.
I'll be there. Should be fun!
I'm planning to be there, but just caught my daughter's cold. Well at least I have my built in excuse.
I'll be there with bells on. Actually, no bells, but maybe a nice basket. I saw Jan (current club champion) on Sunday and he said he'll be racing Saturday also.
I'm in.
@Nosson. Sorry to hear you can't make it to Saturday races. Tour de Fairhaven is a great race this Sunday. I'll be there in the Pro 1/2 field. They have races for other categories as well.
