Posted By: Jeff OwensOk, so do the 5 minutes of 10 intervals and then....just do that another ten times? So do that for 50 minutes?God no. If you are doing 20 and 10 second sprint efforts (especially the 10-second ones), then you are working on acceleration, leg speed and/or "snap." And if you are not giving yourself adequate recovery time between sets, then you sort of defeat the purpose. You are sharpening the knife here with these efforts and if you crudely slap it against the stone you're just dulling your blade.
Posted By: Jeff OwensCool. Thanks, Marc. Yeah, I rested 5 minutes between each of the first 5, and ten minutes before the second 5 (with 5 minutes between those as well). I was just confused by Jules post. Thanks.Ah ok, traditionally tabata is 20sec at max effort/10 sec rest, repeated 8 times, so a 4 minute "block." I thought you had done 10 "blocks", so 40 minutes of work time, which should have killed you.
Posted By: titouh...can we take the Tabata shlong-measuring to another thread? I just wanna put on my bookbag and ride to Nyack before mom grounds me for eating all the Lunchables.lolzactly
Posted By: Ryan JI did a solo 70-mile solo hammerfest to Piermont and back this afternoon.i did almost 80 hilly miles with mike and tito on saturday then accidentally deleted the strava recording
The batteries in my Garmin died before the BB on the way out, so I did the whole ride with no data.
I know it seems crazy to do a ride that is not being digitally recorded using dozens of metrics but I got through it.
