River Road / Palisades / 9W rides WEEKDAY

Jules and I were going to go out for some 90+ degree lose-10-pounds hammering.  But I'm pretty sure he has to leave earlier than that.  I'm flexible.

Jeff, what time are you and Jules heading out tomorrow? Otherwise, JP, I might be in to meet you at noon.
Not sure.  Jules is having the best day of his life since his marriage and birth of his children: moving day!

So it kinda depends on how he feels and what gets done.  He'll let me/us know later tonight.

However, if we go with JP at 11:30, it means it will be even hotter and we'll lose more weight and get more dehydrated and hopefully our farmer's tans will improve.

Tebow > moving day.
You had me at farmer's tan. I figure that even in the heat of the afternoon the ride will still be cooler than my apartment, so either way works for me, but if we can get out a little earlier I'm all for it.
No AC? So euro I love it!
Kind of. Have one window unit, but on the hottest days it doesn't provide too much relief.
Ok, gotta get back. Jules and I at GWB @ 10. Not often he gets to go over GWB during the week.

Which means.... DEATH VALLEY RIDE OF DETH!! Hammerfest drop ride. No prisoners. Bring 7 bottles. And your will and testament. Thimble and newtons on board.
 Khan!
Yes, DEADLY Death Valley Ride of Death.  This is a DROP ride, I'm afraid.  Bring bottles, and an EPiRB.

I will bring Thimble, and a most un-Schleck-like belly full of anger.  Or muffins, depending on how the rest of the evening goes.

Now I'm off to unpack my bike stuff...
First annual Doppleganger Death Valley Ride of Deth!

100+ degrees is a stupid time to train, so we went for it.  Between the two of us I think we had about a dozen bottles of water or such, and sweat a medium sized housepet worth of weight.

Jeff took not only my looks, but also my super powers; dropping me like a bad habit on Alpine and taking dignity, spirt and THE PRECIOUS THIMBLE away.  In the end I had to resort to double-flatting him on River Road on the way home to salvage what little dignity I had left.

Let it be known: The Pink Handle Bared One is back.

Good times.  Now back to the Unboxing of the Things...
This just in: it's hot!

I sucked ass up alpine too. Hammering the whole way to the bottom of it from the bridge is not a way to set a PR.

Changing a tube when you're drenched in sweat is difficult! Tire levers are slippery.

But it was fun and we should do it again tomorrow. Eh?
I'll be doing a whole lotta this:

Nice ride with Kool Keith and Jules today. 2 people I can get great drafts off of! Jules killed it on Alpine. Keith drug us around. Ran unto Andy in his NYU kit at muffin shop. No one yelled at us and we got no tickets. Life is grand.

Looking like Thursday again for me. Holla if you have ideas.
Anybody want to do tomorrow, Wednesday?
Whaaaaaahhh? Ragot over the GWB on a weekday???

I will alter my non-schedule to accommodate this special occasion.

Time?
I'll be out there, but *sigh* at 8am as usual.  Gotta get in the hills before work.

If anyone's feeling their oats and wants to meet at that time, I can wait until 8.15.

I need to be back by NOON - ABSOLUTELY BACK BY NOON. NOT ANY LAY+TER

Can we do 8 from B Bridge, 9 GWB?

7:30 even better...

Ragot over the River is a rare occasion indeed.  Allow me to query my Missus.
I'd definitely be down for 7:30 or earlier.
Honestly, no way I'm making 8:30 @ GWB.  Just gonna do intervals and ride with Keith on Thursday.
ok , not a problem...
9 @ GWB. I'm not gonna go very hard. Hopefully....
Anyone coming up north tuesday morning?
I know this has been posted before, but what's the basic "lowroad" route to Bradley?  Last time I winged it and I took a really roundabout way.  Looking to go out right now and I wanna switch it up a bit.
I am a new member.  I am going to do 9W tomorrow.  I am coming from Williamsburg.  If anyone is interested, let me know.  I am not that fast, I don't dope.
What time are you taking off?
I can leave whenever.  even as early as 5:30 am.
Unfortunately I rock the 9-5, I can probably be in Williamsburg by 530-6pm. Perhaps I can join you on the weekend sometime, unless you're okay with departing in the evening.
I have a 9-5 as well, but took the day off.  I am going to leave in the morning tomorrow but I will be out there this weekend, so if you want to meet up then let me know.
Gonna head out tomorrow mid-day for a slow cruise.  My Achilles is still kinda sore, so probably just an easy ride to Piermont/Nyack and back.

Might watch the Tour, so GWB around 1pm.  When it's 90....
Doppleganger ride!  Just kidding.  Mr. Mom tomorrow.
